New project gets going in earnest this weekend
Posted: Sat Oct 23, 2010 1:56 amDon't know where it leads but I've been practicing music I usually don't play, mainly contemporary country. An acquaintance of mine asked me to help him with his originals and I told him I'd get us into a studio. He's also an agent and claims to be able to book us to open for big acts once we're ready. It would be nice to play for the same money in one hour we make in four, also without lugging around all that equipment. And they are willing to work on originals and record, something that the people I've been playing with have no desire to do. I'll know a little more after Sunday, could be fun as well. They have a vocalist who can sing just like Elvis Presley. An interesting combination, somebody like that and me in the same band. We might be vocal rich, which would be a refreshing change. It gets tiring singing and playing bass all night...
