I always knew he was a sloppy guitarist, but I still love 'im dearly, for his abilities in composition, if for nothing else!

Yeah, maybe they should have included the keyboard part at the beginning to bridge that pause

Yep - note the lack of reverb or extreme high gain. It's a perfect tone for the piece - not all junked up with processes.

As well how the guitar track fits into the whole without being even a high percentage of the sound involved.
As a novice player, I have to fight the urge to overplay my parts when rehearsing alone.
What sounds full and vibrant in the setting of the full course of accompaniment, oft sounds rather sketchy as an isolated track.
