Posted: Sun Oct 17, 2010 1:45 pmThe Democratic Party has a long record of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Obama came into office believing he could work with conservatives. But, that was never gonna happen. He may be finding out, a little too late, that he has to fight back...hard, to get anything done. The Dems have a slim majority and have mostly squandered it. They may lose it altogether when they could have made gains in the mid-terms. This isn't entirely Obama's fault. But, when important issues like the public option are taken "off the table" before even beginning it is a show of weakness to the opposition. And they seized on it.

Posted: Sun Oct 17, 2010 2:14 pmGee...I thought he was doing what he SAID he would do when he was campaigning. I respect that, even if the American ppl have changed their minds due to media manipulation & partisanship in our entire political system.

Changing minds because he's doing a shitty job, and he really isn't interested in working with others despite what MN has assumed.

We are very tired of having our future ,our children's future, and our grand children's future stolen from them.
Bob posted a very sad post. That is exactly what happens when you get lazy and expect some one else to bail you out. Why the hell wasn't he out there trying to do everything to protect his family?
Is every one nuts? is every one expecting a MAGIC record contract.
PS I have taken enough sh*t from JIMMY. I am not pulling back any punches any more. I have tried to be nice to the guy but I realize he is so insecure that it must be because he has a tiny pp that doesn't work any more.

I don't see that jimmy has posted to this thread.
We've disagreed on things plenty of times, but whatever.
I'm not going to change him and he isn't going to change me.
Chances are low that anyone here is going to change their mindset based on what is posted.

There are still hotly debated issues over his eligibility to hold his office... several issues in fact = birth place/citizenship.

He handed the bankers, brokers and speculators that caused the mortgage bubble (that left 2.5 million homeowners to get screwed) somewhere between 2.1 and 7 trillion dollars, while giving the victims nothing.
He prosecuted none of them!!!
He said 6 months and nearly all troops would be out of Iraq.
He said we would get out of Afghanistan right away.
