I don't get it

I was watching The tonight Show with Dave Letterman a few days ago and he had musical guest Antony & The Johnsons on. Apparently it was their second appearance. I'm sorry but I don't get it. Does anybody like that band? It was the lamest thing I've seen in a while. Maybe I'm just not hip any more...

well i can't disagree about Kanye West,But it all about who u know ,not what u know-or- how talented u are....to me jay-z is boring & eminem is dope, but it's still all about who u know,ect!....but let flip the script=look at SLY STONE,he back & still giving a %#!+y show. But people will still pay to see him-and he might not perform or if he's there he's not treating his fans with any respect....that the way it goes....just keep your game as tight as u can and maybe it'll come together for you.

Wait...Sly is back?! And he still doesn't always show up for the show? I was supposed to see him 30+ years ago, he never showed up, and his band just played.

Sly NEVER had respect for his fans.

Loved his music in spite of him, though. He was/is one accomplished jerkwad!

Wow, something we agree on. I can't tell you how many garage bands I've seen on late night and I want to know who are these people's booking agents or are they simply pulling names out of a hat. Meanwhile, I've been submitting my music to agents and such and I don't get a peep. I know I'm not everyone's cup of tea, but damn, if they can get get played so can I. WTF?

The latest trend in TV " entertainment " is getting idiots to make fools of themselves on camera.

Can you say CLICK

Like my dad used to say ... top right hand button ... = OFF

Noone's saying they sat there and watched it, I didn't. But I can watch for a sec, long enough to say "WTF?" then move on. Geez, we're not stupid.

They made a Jackass III because young adolescents and 20 and 30-somethings who still live with their parents go and watch it, just like we did stupid sh*t when we were teenagers, except no one made a show for us, we actually have stories to tell. Like the time this kid and I lit a cup full of gasoline and almost burned down his back porch. I learned to put out a fire at 8!

After George Dubya Shrub became "prez-o-dent" anything seems possible. I tried running for congress in '06.

Dude, we got Meg "I can misplace millions for my own personal use" Whitman running for Governor. Gee, I had more fun having Arney in office.

I went on Antony & The Johnsons website and they are performing at concert halls in NYC and people are paying upwards of $45 a ticket to see this crap. I also looked at a few other Youtube vids of this band and it's all the same crap. I'm not one to dis anybody, especially on this Forum, because there is no accounting for taste BUT I was pissed off that something so lame is on a TV show watched by millions of people. And people are paying $45 a ticket? Maybe I need to start playing garbage and see where that gets me...
