Don't know how many people get into this stuff, I’ve always found it interesting to see what musicians do with somebody else music when they cover it.
Here is an example.

Great post. Creedence Clearwater Revival did some great covers IMO (I Heard It Through the Grapevine, I Put A Spell On You). I love it when great players put a totally different sound on a cover...

I played in this cover band (yes I have, 3 times) and they were a variety band. even did under the boardwalk. They were searching for more "slow dance" songs.
I recommended "I put a spell on you" by CCR... I fukn love that song; it's the rockinest slow dance tune ever, and a hell of a song in general!
I also got them to redo 'Liar" by 3 dog night... was a pretty cool remake.
I do really enjoy redoing older songs to my interpretation, but I wouldn't wanna get carried away with it... I'll leave that to Kid Rock.

Glad to see yoy're interested as well in covers Bob, speaking of CCR. in addition to the covers you've mentioned they also covered Good golly Miss Mooly, ( Little Richard) Dooby Dooby (Roy Orbison) Suzie Q. (Don't know who wrote it) Midnight Special (don't know who wrote it) and probably some others that I'm not aware of.

Hey Hayden a foot note on CCR I put a spell on you, My buddies and I used to love to dance to it, we use to call those slow dances "The tile dance" because we only need the space of a tile to dance with a chick.
Those were fun days.
