My grandson, Jace, is a Jethro Tull freak!
He really loves Ian Anderson, I think. Doesn't like anything else right now - not the Monkees, Beatles, Yes, Gentle Giant, Nektar, CCR, I've tried lots of music on him. All he wants is Tull. Doesn't even much matter what song!
Every night I have to play him a few Tull tunes on Youtube. I think that's just a little strange.
He did like that Nilsson "Lime In The Coconut" thing for awhile, but he doesm
t even want that right now...not even the Muppets version! Just Tull Tull Tull!

Tull has always been one of my favorite bands. I can see anybody, any age, any generation, being a huge Tull fan. Really great music is timeless and will be enjoyed for decades.

Hey, I refused to go to sleep until my dad played me Locomotive Breath when I was four (or so i'm told.. I don't remember.) Maybe it means your kid's gonna turn out like me?

Hey..."I really don't mind if you sit this one out......."
I used to be a huge Tull fan. I used to do the first half of "Thick As A Brick" in my acoustic show and I learned to play the flute because of Ian Anderson.
One of the most underrated bands of the era IMO....

Very few bands can stand with Tull. I've seen them in concert 22 times. My favorite albums are "Benefit", "Stand Up", "This Was", "Songs From The Wood", "Minstrel in the Gallery" and of course "Aqualung".

Wow...you win. 22 times is an amazing amount to see any act. But "Thick As A Brick" is their masterpiece IMO. That album changed my life after listening to the whole thing, high on acid, in an acoustic Egg chair. Amazing...

OK so what do I win? A gold flute from Ian himself?
The only band I've seen more than Tull is Yes, who I've seen 23 times.

You're just wishing now...
If you got a flute from Ian it would probably have a few dents in it from him throwing it all around. I know I dropped a few trying to learn to spin it like he did....
