Possible new projects...

Current blues band has been inactive lately, got a few new band/project offers. I'm collaborating with an acquaintance, a guitar player who plays mainly country stuff, but he's got interests in a lot of different genres. He's also a part-time agent and claims he'd be able to get us opening act gigs at some bigger venues. Right now too many bands trying to play too few places, the pay has been going down. There's been threads about performing for the "love" of music. Most of you know how I feel about gigging and getting paid a fair wage. If I'm going to gig for next to nothing I'd rather work exclusively on originals with the immediate goal of recording a CD. I've got a few originals that can be easily converted to a more country sound. Gotta go forward with something different at this point...reasonably paid gigs are disappearing. It's a shame...

Yes it is, bob.

Nice to see you working on something, anyway.

I haven't been able to do anything lately, & things don't look like they'll be slowing down anytime soon.... Makes me grumpy!

Bingo.
.
And the thing about originals: they're a whole more apt to get air-play on a local radio station than any cover you perform.
