My wife Yvette just got admitted to the hospital. She's been in the er for 10 hours. She's had a battery of tests including a spinal tap. She's on morphine and loritab. She's in a lot of pain. She has been sick since Sunday. Yesterday it got worse. Debilitating headaches, body aches, nausea. They ruled out the flu. Now they are testing for meningitis. She is in a monitored bed now. I would appreciate prayers from all those who believe.

I'm praying, have they tested for lyme disease? Sometimes that goes undetected. I know a few people who were on their deathbed before somebody discovered a tick bite.

Sorry, Paul, much strength and light to you both. It sounds like meningitis. My friend's husband was stricken with almost identical symptoms two months ago. He's just now getting fully over it. It was viral so there wasn't much they could give him and none of the pain meds worked on him. I hope that isn't the case with her.

Paul, this is scary as hell. I feel horrible for you, and can only imagine how worried you must be. Our family will pray daily for her, and for all of you.
"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging." (Psalm 46:1-3)

I'm sure the docs will be able to determine if it's meningitis rather quickly. Can she raise her head from a prone position?
You know I'm praying for her, Paul, & for your entire family as you go through this horrible situation.
