So I was feeling nostalgic the other day and I dug up this old home recording of a band I was in with some high school buddies. The track is called Dreamcage, and even though the recording quality and our playing ability wasn't the greatest, it's still one of my favorite songs to date.
Takes me waaaaay back in time everytime I hear it. I hope everyone enjoys it.

The singer is way flat, often.
This is a good idea. I like the call & response vocals. I'm not a huge fan of the buzz saw guitar, but it works in this, to a degree. Odd choice of bass runs, but who am I to judge?
The guitar part at 3:43 could be done with a flute. I like the way you bring it full circle, too. High school, huh? Nice job for a group that age.
I like this, generally speaking. You should redo it, imho.

I second the motion.

Hey guys, thanks for the kind words. Yeah, we were VERY green in a lot of ways when we wrote this. The singer had never sung before in his life, and I think I was the only one who had any real training in my instrument.
The bass player was very unconventional, and he liked coming up with odd effects layers on his bass parts as well. It all meshed well at the time. I have often thought about revising this song. I think it could be something special with some tlc and some modern know-how.
