I like all three tunes that you have posted right now.
Musically, I like "It's All in My Mind" the most.
Lyrically, I dig "The Red Rider".
Are you recording to tape, or are you using digital stuff? (Sounds like tape)

Thanks G! It's digital. We've been working hard on the mixes. We use Sonar Producers 8 series about to upgrade to 8.5. Hubs found a bunch of plug ins someone gave us and we uploaded them which helped with the sound.

Damn, I'm stuck with Cool Edit Pro 2 right now. I heard Sonar was one of the best. How much does that software run?

If you get the studio edition it's $199
The producer's edition is I think $279. That's the 8.5 version.

You know I started making fun of this sassy lady,,, we had a bunch of wannabees with no audio posted...
Chaeya , I love the tunes you and Cisco are doing. You guys should take these two seriously because she has the sass to push them through to another level.
You know I hear so much talent here, but I would be shocked if Chaeya and Cisco don't do something special. At least she is gonna remember us little people that love her.

Yeah, I heard about Apple's Logic! It gets a lot of hype. Looking at that picture has me salivating. I like the way it's coordinated. Sucks that I have a PC.
$200 isn't bad for Sonar. At $275 I think I would just save my pennies for a Tascam Neo2488.
Some guy told me Reason was fake(whatever that means). I've never messed with it.
So what makes some recording software better than others?

Aww thanks, Glen. I'm giving it another shot. I took a break after my first child was born then I got sick which didn't help, so I lost a lot of years which can mean "career death" for a musician in this business. Let's see how far I can take it. And I would never forget you guys here. This will be my own little secret hideout.

Really Krul, they can all be pretty decent, it depends on your plug ins. But to really make it shine is to have a good board, a good preamp, good compressors, good mikes, the sound of your room and if it's tuned to the type of equipment you're using, how it's soundproofed and all. Also the most imporant are good monitors and a good soundcard in your computer.
That's just from my little limited experience. Some others here could tell you better.

Well I would say it's the amount of easy to use, or intuitive features it has.
Some might say that it's the amount of features period.
The quality of the programs raw audio conversion.
My samples were done with Logic (kindergarten edition), better know as Garage Band
Everything is line-In and I used plug-ins. No real amps or mics or external effects.

Only reason i use Cakewalk Sonar is I like the final result.
If you can get what you want from something cheaper, USE IT.
I can't.

You guys are awesome. Know I'm pretty sure I know what I'll need for quality recordings.
