Well the first show went amazingly awesome. In a place that usually brings in about 50 people for a show...we brought in almost 220! The bar owner (Paulie) also gave us an extra $100 because he was so impressed with our professionalism and tightness as a band. That NEVER happens, but we pulled it off. Here's some pics:

Now this last one is kind of funny. After almost getting hit in the head by a "wind-milling" mic twice, I decided to take evasive action. When flying through one of my extremely arpeggiated solos, I started to step on the mic cord so Jay wouldn't be able to swing it and get it too close to me. He noticed it after the second song that I did it to him (which was early in the set at the 6th song)...hahahahahahaha.

Evasive action...gotta love it!

Get the boy a wireless mic, & you won't have that prob anymore. LOL

Good job, MD. Nice tip, too!

Looks like he still has enough cord to whack you with it!

Thanks everyone...it was a fun show! The turnout was amazing to say the least and everyone there was gettin' into it. Nothing got broken and there were no fights...what more could a metal band ask for?

Unfortunately Downslave (Knoxville, TN.) asked us to do a show with them and His Name Was Yesterday (Buffalo, NY) on this Saturday night, but Jay will be out of town, so we can't do it. BUMMER!!!

LOL, Phil! Yeah it looks like there's enough there, but when he starts windmilling it with only that much cord, it misses me by about a foot. Believe me...we practice in a tight space, so I got used to it  . By the same token...he knows better than to get in my way when the Ibanez starts flyin' .

Hey Metal, do you or any of the guys in your band ever do any vocals, or can any of you do mediocre vox? The reason I'm asking is because you guys could still take the show. I don't see why your vocalist would mind. It's publicity bro!

I mean, you can even tell the audience that your original vocalist couldn't make it, it shows dedication, and I think a lot of bands like to know that they can count on a band to always make the gig.

Then again, if no one can sing, then that will set you back...unless you're willing to get a friend/fan to get up there and fill in. :)

Krul: To be honest...there is no substitute for anyone in this band. After many member changes (myself included: twice), we finally figured that out. The show would be cool to do, but...there's always the next one I suppose since family comes first.

To answer the question though...Shawn does all of the back-up scream vocals. I can't do the scream thing without sounding like the death rattle  . But I grew up doing chorus in school and I had to take "Vocal" classes when I was in college for Performing Arts/Classical Guitar. So I just actually "sing" .
