Hey guys, If I put a raw solo vocal
on my profile that can be downloaded.
Could you pick it up and add music tracks
and form a song?
If so, I would Love to do this and just
pass it around. Maybe gtZip - lead guitar
Craig - keyboards
phil - Bass
JD - additional guitars
? - Drums
Whatever works, I would Love to hear Slack also.

Thanks for the props brother!
But there are much better keyboardists on here than me!

Just a suggestion, not trying to rank
anyone.
Is it possible though?
If so, I would like to do this and it would be a good thing
since we really cant get together and jam. We could still make music.
A person could be named for each song and they decide who
the players on that particular song would be.
I can sing alternative, country, Standards.
Just vamping.

It's possible. I really would prefer to work WITH the drummer on site, but I'll try just about anything once.
In this case, I guess I'd add my track AFTER the drums.

The only way this would work is if you record to a click track or keyboard beat and then dropped the click track after the other instruments have been added. You would also have to maintain perfect pitch. I know you could pull off both off those things. I went to the profile and did not see the solo track anywhere??

Thanks Paul, at this point it's just an idea and
I will decide on a song and start recording shortly.
Maybe "Chasing Cars"

I would avoid doing a cover. My suggestion would be to post some lyrics and let a few people try to write some music and possibly record a quick and dirty demo. Once the demo version was selected it could be passed around and added to, with the vocals added last. Am I on the right track Paul?

I'm a dope. I totally missed the word "IF"!
Jimmy, that way would totally work. My thoughts are this. Klugmo obviously has a killer voice and is a great songwriter. So if he hears a completed song in his head he could sing the whole thing with everything in mind. Arrangement, changes, etc. If he does an original it will likely be country. Then it's easy to recording the bass and corresponding instruments after the fact. This way is harder sure. But with a skilled vocalist it's totally doable. I've done it this way.

I would think a firmiliar cover would be the best bet
for the first one. Creating music and lyrics between
many just asks for differences in opinion and slows
the process.
I want this to be easy and enjoyable for all involved.
What do you think?

I will write an original if you want.

I think that if you do a original it should be all your lyrics and vocal melody.
A cover song would be easier to get going for a first attempt, but wouln't be as satisfying, IMO.
I'd be happy to give it a whirl, but I might be slow at it due to having a real busy schedule right now.
I suppose I could go last.

I'd be happy to offer my keys and drums if you need them?

Wow Klugmo, your vocals are stellar! I've honestly never checked them out until now...shame on me.
Not sure if my style would fit. I play a lot of Jazz, and Blues Rock rhytyms, but I'm not sure that's what you're looking for.
