Longevity sought by many achieved by few, this guy turned out to be IMO eternal, sounding fresh today as he did half century ego.

This is an incredible recent cover of a Joni Mitchell song from the 70s.

He wrote these other two long time ego but it don't matter if you're timeless.

This guy was a HUGE musical influence that I have forgotten. In the early 70's my sister and I used to jam his songs her on piano and me on acoustic!
I once read that he didn't consider himself a performing artist in the beginning. He considered himself a writer. The Beatles discovered him and I think convinced him to perform his own songs!

Me too, J. I watched him perform recently on a concert channel. He's an awesome songwriter, and I've always liked his voice.

Thanks JH for being on topic and restoring faith in my taste in music, I was beginning to doubt myself for liking this guy especially his rendition of Woodstock.

JT was always touch & go with me. I either really loved his stuff, or it completely bored me.

"Woodstock" always seemed like a real sleeper song to me, too. Never understood why it was so popular, but I know, I'm weird.

No not weird I didn't like Joni Mitchell version of woodstock either, it was OK the way CSNY covered it, but for my taste JT can make me listen to anything he does.

Awe come on guys the universe is infinate the further your telescope looks out the further away the end of the universe appears its like a mirage!
IMO I am so lucky to be here and so Incredibly insignificant. My favorite saying about James Taylor is "His voice is like a fine wine it just gets better with age"

It's so mellow though, feels like it's a JIM CROCE show.
