I saw this dumbass post on Backpage.com about some psychological study on band members. I had to laugh my butt off. I don't know what organization is conducting the study and how it is funded but of course being me I had to respond. My response goes something like this: "I can save you a lot of time and money. Band members all exhibit varying degrees of psychological illness and varying degrees of addictive personalities, as well as varying degrees of actual substance abuse which may enhance or alter psychological illness. No need to conduct this study or waste taxpayer's money."

We're also often poor & grumpy, & ignored but desperately in need of attention, greedy, spiteful, wicked, um....what other human attributes can I list? Oh yeah - generous, loving, hopeful, helpful, & I doubt that you can pigeon-hole us you assholes so quit trying cuz I am NOT like all the rest, any more than Glen is or jimmy is or whoever you wanna name.

Where's the empirical data?

How can anybody provide exact scientific "data" on the infinite variation of band member behavior? Think of all the experiences you have had with different band members as well as your own behavior. How on Earth can that be quantified? I could just imagine some psychology researcher present at all of my band rehearsals and gigs. Could you imagine the notes from those events? "It's 10:30 pm and I am observing the band members of The Bluefin Tuna Band. The lead singer and bass player fisherman bob appears agitated. Apparently he must have hair up butt syndrome..."

Whoever wrote that article is just pissed cause his girlfriend probably left him for a musician. That, or, he can't get women, wishes he could play an instrument, but can't. Or his brother can and he always got stuck at home playing video games while he saw his bro walk out the door with three hotties.

The list of clowning could go on...

p.s. It's obviously jealousy cause he's not going to get paid for putting that article up, and I'm sure nobody in general gives a sh*t. It won't send any fans packing.
