I have a lot of favorite Train songs. Craigs is one of my Favs. but being from Texas this guy is the typical Austin Jazz Fusion!

I have one question and one question only? does this pass the PHILBY TEST?

Yeah I know where what you are saying. I know where you are coming from,,,, I also know what an awesome player you are.

When you mention train by Craig,,, I can listen to it 10 times in a row and all the tiny flaws just seem to keep disappearing.

Sorry, You brought it up and beside the fact he is such a fu cking liberal.... that is one production and song I love.

I downloaded it and have already sold almost 50 thousand copies along with genuine artificated tee shirts of him and next week we have a cover band starting a concert tour with a genuine CRAIG MAXIM look alike doing all his great original material.

If we make a buck or two we might send him one just to let him know how good he is and to keep up the good work,,,, except for the burning his hands and all , That sucked.

"I have one question and one question only? does this pass the PHILBY TEST?"

I dunno what the "philby test" is.

Forty Mile Town - This, I like. Very melodic, & though I don't see it as any type of #1 hit, it's a good piece of music. Nice production. Sneaky bit of vocalization, which appeals to me. Odd choice of guitar tones, but it ain't offensive or anything.

Nothing Can Keep Me From You - See, this one hits my ear like an after-school special, or a song you might hear on Baywatch or something. It's that kind of production. It's perfectly okay, but imho, it isn't really as strong a piece as the previous one. Nice guitar work. It just sounds hackneyed to me, though. It's okay for background stuff, but there's nothing that really makes it stand out to me, other than the guitar work, which, while it's nice & all, isn't enough to make it a great piece.

Manhattan G3 - Very nice axe work. I love those octave melodies. (For some reason, when I think of octave melodies on guitar, I think of George Benson.) This is where this guy shines. Excellent guitar work, & imho, he should stick with the more jazzy stuff. I see what you mean about Roscoe Beck - he really knows how to fit into anything, & yet keep his licks interesting.

(Just for fun, I decided to put this one up for ya. I used to love this guy - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=voNjeUUc ... re=related )

Glen,

I am trying to understand your post bro.

In response I appreciate the compliment, but I am not Eric Johnson!

I am going to say this JUST ONCE! and one time only!

Damn! I have had a couple but not that many LMAO! I posted these vids, because they make me feel LIKE SUPERMAN! They make me feel like a SOARING EAGLE when I am enjoying my COFFEE!

To my American Bros! Our country is going to hell in a handbasket!
WHATEVER your political affiliation, I hope you understand that OUR country is being INVADED! We can become devided and this is exactly what the ememy wants. YOU JUST HAVE TO ASK YOURSELF ONE QUESTION! WHO IS THE ENEMY!

In my opinion CRAIG IS SURELY NOT! I THINK HE IS WAY!! SMARTER THAN I COULD EVER DREAM OF BEING! I AM NOT SO PROUD THAT I CAN'T ADMIT THAT! HOWEVER THERE ARE A LOT OF YOU FOLKS THAT CAN'T!

IT FLOORS ME THAT SOME OF YOU FOLKS CAN'T ADMIT YOU ARE WRONG!

I personally find peace knowing and admitting that I AM WRONG! I will only say that it must be so nice and perfect to put yourself up on a pedastal and be better than YOUR FELLOW AMERICAN!

On the other hand there are a lot of my fellow Americans that consider me the ENEMY and that deeply saddens me! Because you see us Texans are a very friendly bunch!
All I can tell you folks is as a greater collective we are all gonna pay the price!

That will make the second "Craig Maxim Tribute Band" I know of! Anyone else have this problem? Being decidedly poor and unfamous, but having two tribute bands doing your music?

LOL

Sorry J. I think, Craig got the joke, but I may have left you out of the loop. those are great tracks. If you notice Craig and I have very similar political views and that is my stupid little joke. Sorry to scare you.
As a matter of fact right now my concern is that Iran is going to put this nuclear plant on line,,Saturday. This is a different type reactor that will produce weapons grade plutonium. In one year, enough for 40 small nukes.

Israel has already postured the destruction of such a plant. What is really scary is these will be weapons Iran will sell to anyone. One of these will most surely come through the Texas border and end up killing people in NY.

This should be interesting to see what Israel does... Everyone ready for $20 gas.

No problem Glen, you were as we would say in the 70's "you did my head man" LOL! I thought I knew where you and Craig stood politically! I took a break from this site for a while several months ago because it was getting TOO political. I had a FEW beers last night thus my confusion!
