I would really like to have that hi watt bass amp.

That was awesome on so many levels.

These guys get it that being a performer is as much art as being a songwriter and make the most of it.

thanks for sharing with us, I enjoyed this. Pretty much rockabilly done well with good energy. It's a refreshing change from the usual crap I hear these days.

Well, when one is performing, Klug, it isn't about the song - it's about the performance. Songwriters don't own the performance, & the beauty of it is in the eye of the beholder, for sure.

I quite liked it. Very good energy. I don't get your problem with it, but that often happens when we're talking opinions...

Hey, Paul Simon's done many terrible things to his own songs...Bridge Over Troubled Water among them. I saw him do a version of it with Black Momba Mambo, or whatever that African group he used for awhile is called. Yeah...sometimes adjustments must be made to allow for the present instrumentation & vocalists.

Sometimes it works great, & sometimes it doesn't...

This is a writers view point.

The imagery of the band IS rockabilly. I almost never analyze the lyrics in terms of the band's performance being appropriate for the lyrical content. I mainly listen to the music. These guys are good at what they do. They just happen to be performing a song in the style of their choosing that , in your opinion, isn't appropriate for the lyrical content. So what.

Hmmm...do you prefer Bob Dylan's rendition of "All Along The Watchtower," or Jimi Hendrix'? I've done it reggae, often, & it goes over well.

IMHO, a good song is a good song, no matter WHAT genre it's played in. if it can stand up to various genres & still stand & be recognizeable, that makes it truly great!

Once you write that song, & set it free, Klugmo, you've got to love it enough to let it go where it will, because, like a child that's grown, you have no more control over it.
