Lookin' in the mirror, I see a musician starrin' at me.
Yeah.... That's, what I claim to be.
When I was younger, music was the savior and high, I loved so well.
Without it, I could have sent my soul to Hell.
Once venues and gigs were plentiful.
easy to book, good pay, and no bull.
Back in the day you could get a longterm "House Job" and lot's of
respect.
Play inside on stage, not out on the deck.
It was back before D.U.I, Yeah, back before Nixon told us a lie.
Before cassette tapes, C D's, Youtube and music tab
When a musician's talent was Real, 8)
it wasn't something you could buy, or steal

Ah, for the "Good ole Days"

Y eah.

It is called "Some body else's turn to shine". It's a bitch, ain't it?

Don't loose heart. Some of us still produce without having to edit.

It makes me laugh when ppl tel me to 'go where the music is.'

Music is EVERYWHERE. Ppl wanted it...STILL want it, no matter where you live.

You just can't seem to make a living at it anymore, in this country.
