Far Beyond The Moon -- NEW SONG

You know Craig told me that a lot is expected
of me when I post a song here. I post songs at different levels of development and sometimes just idea tapes. For me an idea
tape would be like the first song on my profile "I AM". That is what I bring to a studio for development. This song "Far Beyond The Moon"#16 is fully
developed. This is as about as good as I can do.
Enjoy or Tolerate but let me know.

On my profile #16 "Far Beyond The Moon"

In a word ... excellent.
The sound even brought my wife out of the kitchen to see whom I was listening too.

Overall excellent in every way: solid vocals, clear recording quality, very nice song. I'll check back in and listen to your other tunes later this evening. Liked this one a LOT! :D

Thanks sans and Bob. As far as lyrics go . This
song wrote itself after I finished the chorus. The difficult part
was getting the arangement right. Vocals had some timeing
and cadence issues but I think worked out nicely.
Thanks again.

You know this is probably in the top 5 songs I've ever written
and I only have 2 responces.

Makes me think.

Think GENRE, not too many C+W people in here of late.

Maybe I'm a square peg in a round hole here.
No Country and basicly not much talk about writing.
Also when singing is talked of, it's screaming.

There are many songs that I have listened to on
different peoples profiles that I know I could really
do a lot with vocaly if they wanted help.
I think I need to get some equipment so I can colaberate
online.

Really good song! I liked it.

Good production and arrangement too. This is pretty much radio ready... send it to some radio stations that are indie-friendly. Even college stations, cause hell, it's just fun hearing yourself on radio. :-)

Also...

I meant to comment on another of your songs... "I Am"

LOVE that song!

It's simply beautiful!

Your voice is great for that song. Good songwriting. And you wisely kept it simple, since the melody is so beautiful in itself.

You are really talented brother! Don't ever stop!

Thanks so much Craig.
"I AM" is a very special song for me and I am glad you
noticed it and it touched you.
I will be at the PGA tournament this weekend in WV. at
the Greenbrier. I will meet some real pickers and
hopefully find some willing to record some of my stuff.
Wish me Luck.

Relax, man. Sometimes it takes awhile for us to get the time to take the time to listen, esp when we're chatting in a political rant. When I'm doing that, I tend to stay away from critiques, cuz it puts me in too much of a cynical state of mind.

As far as this song goes...

It's a good solid piece. Great lyrics. There's something about the production that isn't doing it justice, imho, & I don't think it's just because C & W isn't my favorite genre, but I can't put my finger on what it is.

I think the acoustic is too buried in the mix, & the build-up to the chorus at the start should prolly be quieter, for even more emphasis.

Also, & I think that this is the 1st time I have ever said this to anyone in here - it's too frikken SHORT, at 2:42, although you seem to have said all you can say...I dunno...I'd work on it some more....maybe one more verse?

It is worthy, though. Very good song.

Vocals are too hot. (Too loud)
The lyrics are a bit flowery for a country-ish song, to mee. But hey, that's just me own personal tastes.

Other than that, I think its a good song and excellent work.

Your vocals remind me of someone but i cant put my finger in it...

Ronnie Milsap, maybe?
