Okay...as you prolly know, I sent the wife off to Texas to help her mother, who just had cancer surgery, a week ago today.

I was s'posed to have band practice that night, for our show on Aug 1st, but the guitarist's mom went into the hospital that day, & he cancelled.

So we were s'posed to practice last night, but no...his mom got OUT of the hospital last night.

So we were s'posed to do it tonight, but now the drummer's mom went into the hospital...

So now we're set up for Friday...maybe...if no one else's mom has any troubles.

Wtf is up with all these mother problems?

Grit your teeth Philby, at least the mom's are surviving their ordeals. Can you imagine what it would be like if they lost their mpms? Hopefully everyone's moms will hold it together for a few days. Take care, get some rest and be ready for Friday's rehearsal. :( :)

Had a lady come to the nurses station today and say " mom has to go to the bathroom"
I said "which one, there are 20 of them up here today." LOL

A doctor walked up to me at lunch time and asked me
" which patient is Mrs So n so. "
I pointed through the big glass window at the crowd in the day room and said.
The little old lady with gray hair in the wheelchair.

Oh, he said thanks that helps a lot.

Mom is the most important person in the world to a lot of people.

I know you will hear my pain when mine passes.
I love my mom.

As you all might recall, I lost my mom this year. It is very hard not to walk around like a zombie. I finally had a really bad car accident in March and decided that I needed to back off from reality a bit and stop some of my activities. I ended up missing flute choir rehearsals. I am a bit better now and I am back to the flute choir. Also, I have her urn...another thing that is hard to believe. Too many mothers, so little time.

I still can't believe I lost mine in 1974, folks. Yeah...it's something you never quite get over...

Okay...it's 5 PM & I'm biting my nails, here. I'm leaving in an hour...

ARE we gonna practice? AREN'T we? Is somebody's mom gonna call & flook it up? Will my car get me there? Will we lose electricity? What's gonna go wrong this time? Will the guitarist be sober? Will he know the material?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaargh!

I am SO antsy! I want this show to be the bestest, but I have little to no control. I really HATE that...I think I'm gonna go back & just work solo...

I feel your pain Phil.
Got two gigs this week with very little info and a sick back up vocalist.
Control is life's only illusion.

Just enjoy the ride.
