Man, did you guys see what they gave that cop? Involuntary Manslaughter? They had the freeways packed letting everyone off of work early, cops were out ready for a riot, but all that happened was some vandalism and a few knuckleheaded looting. But I'm thinking when they sentence that guy...Oakland might just go nuts. I mean, Rodney King got beat, this kid got killed! Awful shame.

I didn't hear anything about this. What were the circumstances? Was the boy black? white? Was the cop black? white? The Rodney King incident was racist in every respect. A friend of mine was pulled over,, handcuffed, and roughed up by the police years ago. He had no idea why. It was the enforcement of an old parking ticket he had completely forgot about. It so traumatized him that he developed heart trouble and died subsequently. There was absolutely no media coverage of this because he was white and the officers were white. I always wondered why Jesse Jackson didn't come to Kansas City in support of him...

Ya Bob, a transit 'cop' shot a young black man in the back.
He made a statement that he thought that he was firing his tazer and not his pistol.
Riiiight....

They should riot. Against the cops.

Around here they've had coverage all day.

What happened though, was they had this young black man on the ground arresting him, and he was totally submissive, heck, he was on his stomach, and this white cop just pulled out and fired. This cops excuse was that he was reaching for his tazer and then accidently pulled out his gun and shot him. Stupid thing is, he didn't even need a tazer at that point, plus, several cops already had him on the ground. This was at BART in front of everybody too. I highly doubt that it was an accident. Oakland cops are known for beatdowns.

Last night most of the vandalism was from out of towners. Some anarchists too. Cars got smashed in, m80's were thrown at cops, graffitti was everywhere, and a Foot Locker got looted. The people involved were just looking for an excuse to start trouble. 95 people got arrested.

Something will jump off if his sentence is light, which it probably will be.

California is the only state in the union where they refer to a car thief (RK) as a "black motorist".
Are all " black motorist " car thieves in California or what?

I,m no cop because at the end of a high speed chase when the bastard got out to run I'd shoot him and put him in the dumpster where he belongs.

Be a lot less car thieves.
