How are you dealing with the heat?
I haven't left the house in days...it's like cabin fever.
My truck's got no A/C, so I won't drive it farther than a city block in this.
I think my house A/C's dyin'. The thermostat's been acting all floopy.
I think I'm going MAD(DER)!!!!
I think I'm gonna get up around 4 tonight & take out the canoe, just to get out of the house...I'll hafta get back before the cookin' starts, though...

Fourth straight day of 93+ here. If I wasn't at work I would live in the basement, it's still very cool down there. Get a kiddie pool and a pitcher of margaritas!

95 here right now and has been that way for days, but...I still weed the garden, weld at work (with no AC), and generally do all of the things that I'd normally do. Except...you have to add some water between the cans of Bud Light to keep some hydration. Practice the other night was a little overly hot though. No AC at Shawn's and we all had what I call "Bat Wings", but not "Monkey Butt".
BTW..."Bat Wings" are when your balls stick to your legs. Yep...another Metal D original

. Don't get me started on what I call other things...

SOS man ... this is Texas. No problem.
Only thing that's kind of unusual is all this rain.
Some years it's like that here though.
Talk about vibrant green. Looks like Cambodia.
Tickles me a bit all those "yorkies" whining about the heat. LOL
It's just another day in paradise.

I'll send you some rain Phil.
God knows we've had plenty. All the lakes and stock tanks are overflowing and the rivers are up ... think I can spare you some.

This heat is driving me stir crazy, especially since I'm still not able to drive. I still can't do full weight bearing in my ankle yet from surgery, so all the fine summer booty shots are limited.

We spent a loverly day with Jace Monday, Glen. He had lotsa fun at the park, threw a fit when we left, fed me a buncha Italian Ice, but wouldn't eat any himself until it melted, & loved the 'flowers in the sky' the night before.
I haven't heard from Ian on how he's been doing the last cpl days, though I bet he's having a rough time of it.
I hafta go look at someone's A/C tomorrow, & I dunno why. I don't know anything about that stuff, but the homeowner's adament that I go check it out, so I'll go make a cpl bux. If it's something super simple I'll look like I can do anything! I've made that mistake with these ppl before...
Yeah, Glen, it's so dry here that the fish in the creek are spittin' on each other just to try to stay wet. I saw one with a canteen. I guess I should start worryin' about my well again...[/i]

Phil is that a wall unit? Sometimes repairs are more expensinve in terms of efficiency than people understand. I HOPE you make more than a couple bucks cause I know you will do the right thing.
Happy that Jace had some fun, And even better you haven't lost your sense of humor. Couple HOT days what a pain in the shnoookim!!!

Well, contrary to popular belief about Maine, it was 98 yesterday.
Much better today: high 80's
we do not like 90's and humid(or muggy as we say)
I'm personally a big fan of 65 & sunny...
cmon October!

The power went out for 6 hours at the hottest part of the day here. But only in my neighborhood. I had to fan myself with a license plate to stop the river from flowing down my face. Fortunately I had bought a LED head lamp, like the miners use, and sat there and read the MF catalog while I was in the dark. They finally restored power at 12:30PM
This spell checker is pathetic. Sometimes if you mis spell a word it gives you a choice of 5 -6 words that aren't even in the ball park. Must be one of those Chinese black market spell checkers.

Here in SOuthern California it was in the mid-70s. I won't compain because it is normal to be quite hot this time of year. There's been lotsa cloud cover in the morening. I like it.

3 days excessive of 107 with high humidity.
Reached 111 in the shade last night. Supposedly cooler today but thats because the ozone is at ground level here.
Fortunate power stayed on really, Welcome to NJ

We had three days over 100...but there's hope on the horizon! Today's only s'posed to hit 95!
Whoopeeeeeeeee!
No, Glen. It's a whole house unit. I hope the compressor's not fried, cuz I can't work on that stuff...a thermostat I can do...a simple cleaning/replacement of a filter I can do...anything beyond that is beyond me, & I'll only make the handyman's house call fee.
These kinds of gigs, where I show up not knowing anything about anything, make me more nervous than sitting in with a band unheard previously.
Makes me wanna break out into song...specifically the one that Mel Brooks sings called "High Anxiety."
So what's YOUR favorite Mel Brooks song?
(See? I CAN stay on topic!)
