I hope no one takes offense at this?
Since most the conglomerate appear to be plantation owners/Speculators/Lawyers/Merchants and so on... Was this the start of wall street as we know it?

Actually, the London Stock Exchange predates the US Stock Exchange, so we really got the idea from you Brits.
