...looks like rock and roll BUT can he play?

He's been metallica's bass player since 03. Yes he's pretty talented. He played with infectious grooves, Jerry cantrell, ozzy , etc before that.

Saw this dude on TV. Some show where they slow stuff down and watch it in time lapse. Watching the bass strings vibrate in time lapse was pretty telling.
Dude can play though I am not all that impressed with 30 minute gallops.

Robert Trujillo is a very good bass player. I have been enjoying his playing since Suicidal Tendencies.

I'd hire him. He's probably the most in-demand bass player because not only does play well, but he looks so damn good. Makes me wanna go work out...just in case I meet him.

Yes, Bob, Robert Trujillo can play his metal balls off, dude is a sick bassist, and light years from anything Jason Newstead could ever hope to be on bass.

I do not dispute his "looks", but gimme a real musician over some pretty boy any day.

His looks do not make his sound, just like his sound will not influence his looks.

Mary, I recently got tired of being fat. Sunday actually. I do this every few years. I got motivated by this series of pictures from 7 years ago. These are from my "let the good times roll" video. I was 32 and 175 lbs. I get up to 205 and get fed up! It will take 2 - 3 months but with diet I get there again. I've been yo-yoing since my mid twenties.

Yeah Capt that's why I titled the thread "looks don't matter". However he doesn't resemble a pretty boy. He looks like a gargoyle who could rip your arms off and flog you to death with them.
