3.def lepard

Yet creed has 1 song I love.
What if (brutal Tremonti, great vox)....

And bullets (twisted, unique harmonies and brutal Tremonti guitars!) ...

nickelback has one I really like due to melodies and harmonies
Hero...

And even Def Lepard has
Fooling (ok the WHOLE song sucks hard like rest of their stuff EXCEPT the chorus - just the ffffoolin part actually)

So who do you hate but still admit they have some good material?

I can't stand Bruce Springsteen but as much as it's been played I still like Born To Run. I never was into Guns and Roses but I did like their cover of Live And Let Die.

Totally agree on the Creed and Nickelback hate. Fortunately Creed replaced their singer and are now called Alter Bridge, which is a much better band.

There is no saving Nickelback.

As for me, let's see ... I can't stand most early Incubus stuff (I think the lyrics are pretentious and the vocal melodies are too all-over-the-place), but I love the heck out of Stellar and I don't see that changing.

Creed's "What If" was, I think, actually written for the movie Scream. Or was it Scream 2? Regardless, it was featured on the soundtrack of one of them. Like all Creed songs, it would be awesome without Scott Stapp.

I hate Billy Joel.
I admit he has some finely crafted songs - they just happen to bug the crap out of me.

Wife and went over to a co workers house to visit. A first meeting of sorts back when we had no kids and lived in the desert. Consuming beers and some sacrificial plants he asked me if I had any music with me. I went out to my truck and brought in my cassette case. As I rifled through the cassettes of KISS, AEROSMITH, ALICE COOPER, ETC Chris asked me if I had any STEELY DAN.
I looked at him kind of funny and said. STEELY WHO ?? LOL

Of course I knew who SD was and we laughed about that as a private joke for some time.

Our family's became close friends over the years out west.
Sadly Chris shot himself over a woman shortly after I moved out of the desert.

I still miss him. :(
