I'm surprised at the dragging guitar in places, Sean. I expect more crispness from you for some reason. I guess that you're doing it for effect, but it's coming across as awkward to me.

God your timing is off... That just kills it. Philby suggests you're doing that for effect? If so, lose it. It's a crappy effect. It just makes it sound like you have no sense of timing!

Production-wise: sounds great! Well done.



I give you this: If you want to be an Eddie Van Halen clone, you're getting closer. I mean, if listeners have ears at all and they start listening to that tune, they automatically should be thinking it's something Van Halen wrote. Automatic. So if that's your goal: Win for you dude. Nice job.



I give you an "A" for effort Sean.

I give you a B- for execution (the timing is just too far off).

I give you a D- for songwriting because the composition sounds too much like Van Halen; it's like writing a novel and intentionally utilizing a style that sounds exactly like Stephen King. You gotta find your own voice.

I give you an "A" for sounding like Van Halen though, because I know that was your goal.




I just wish you didn't have such a strong, overflowing desire to be Van Halen. I would like you to have your own voice. But that's part of the learning process of writing; we start by writing songs that sound like our own influences, and then eventually we find our way to our own voice.

But it's cool man. I've been asking to hear something "original" from you for a while and you delivered. Kudos.

At least steal in such a way that you aren't completely transparent as a no talent hack.

I play all the instruments one track over the other, and I can't play drums. That's the reason for timing issue.

Regarding Van Halen, that's the only music I like, it's that simple!

Get a drum machine. They aren't too expensive, usually. You can get 'em cheap on CL or eBay. They're easy to program, & keep you in time.

I've been decently impressed by some of your skills before, but if we were in a band together, and your timing was that far off, one of us wouldn't be around for very long. And I can keep time, so you can guess who would go...

I can't believe you all keep sucking up and answering Seans posts. Most of his stuff is not real. He can't play with other people in a band and I don't like some one passing off Bull that isn't. Then he has the balls to go after Colors,look at the title of this thread.
What is sad is he has posted one tune that was real , believable, and good.
Other than that he is insulting to all the real and believable and great musicians here.

If I sat down and jammed with this guy I probably wouldn't get to play a note because he would be so busy showing his technical style he would forget that it was about music.
