Coheed and Cambria.
That is all.
No you cannot have those two seconds of your life back.

Never heard of 'em, so I looked 'em up on youtube.
They are really good musicians. The singer almost reminds me of that guy in Rush, but he's much better, imho.
Pretty cool stuff.
Thanks for the heads up.

You need to get out more Phil lol.
I've seen them a couple of times on Warped, didn't do much for me. People seem to like them, poor things.

Eh...the material is subjective, as always, but I must say that they're pretty damned good musicians.
I was watching that drummer. It seems to me like the best drummers I've seen have that sorta set up - with the heads all sitting nearly level with the floor. He was great for the material.
The guitars are perfectly alright, too.
The singer's voice is a 50/50 with me, though. I'm not crazy about the vocal tones.

Right. You'd think with all that great musicianship they might have looked for a singer. But we said the same thing when Rush came out.

He does need to get out more. Maybe Charlestown would be an overload for him.
He might explode.

You seem to forget where I live, folks - in a radio wasteland.
All the new music I hear is from tv, or here, or just exploring youtube.

then me suggesting The Mars Volta wouldn't mean much to you then. but those guys are sick musicians as well, if you haven't heard much of them, I highly recommend it.

Tronix... I'm with you on BOTH groups brother!
I think Coheed and Cambria are a
very unique group, and their whole concept as well...
All their albums continue an epic story line, based on the science fiction writings of their lead singer, called "The Armory Wars".
But I keep forgetting which band member is Coheed and which one is Cambria!

I saw The Mars Volta open for System of a Down a few years ago. Decent enough band, reminded me of a modern Santana in a way, but a little more weird.

I'm familiar with Mars Volta. Saw 'em on tv, I did.
I think I even posted a few vids awhile back. I guess you missed it.
Yeah. They're very good, & that singer has a wild range.

Heck, Mary, there's so much stuff out there these days I don't think it's a wonder when we miss an act or two that's been around for a cpl years.
No one had heard of the Noisettes, either, when I put their vid up, though they've been around awhile.
