I actually did it.

I can't believe that it's come to this.

I went on Craigslist, looking for bands. I answered all of the ones that might need me...yes...even the *choke* southern rock one.

I feel like a crumb.

Phil, was that you that answered my ad. Must of typed in the wrong zip.
Any way practice tommorrow at 7, @5hours if you make the GW bridge before 4pm. See if you can pickup chippy on the way.

Out of 7 responses to CL ads, I've gotten 2 emails.

One was a guy telling me the position's been filled. He's doing two outdoor events that he'd like for me to attend. Supposedly these are open mic kinda things, & according to him, there will be opportunities to meet lotsa musos.

The other one wants me to call. I'll be doing that in a bit.

I'm surprised at the responses, frankly. I hope they're qualified musos.

Perhaps I should put up my own ad, eh? Maybe after I talk to these guys...

I called the second guy 4 times, & left messages 3 times. Stil no return call. The last message I left for him was something like "Gimme a call & lemme know the best time to call you."

At least he'll know I have a sense of humor, right?

Not bad at all Philby. It's usually pretty hard to get even one bite on Craigslist.
