Tonight the president of the United States will talk about the CARBON TAX.
At a time when Americans are struggling to make ends meet he is going to sell us on a new tax. It will be asking a drowning to drink some water.
If evryone thinks it will be ok to add $1 or $2 or even $3 to a gallon of gas or diesel or heating oil or propane and LNG, because it will save the earth;
If everyone doesn't mind an electric bill that doubles or triples, because it will save the earth, please think. Please listen closely to this plan because everything from food to shelter will become more expensive at a time when Americans are trying to get back on their feet.

None of this new tax will go to saving the planet. It will just be a transfer of wealth to less developed countries. The only environmental benefit will be lowered energy consumption nationwide. You will think about turning on that amp if it is going to cost you five bucks.

Please listen closely because this could be the greatest sales job of all time.
A sales job that could end American life as we know it.
Because the response to the gulf spill has been so poor this may be the excuse needed to pass a carbon tax. Lets see how much of this speech is going to be about the spill. It can't be much, not much has been done. Lets see! This should be interesting!

His whole administration has been a world class sales job, what do sale people actually do again? They talk you out of your money, this should come as no surprise to anyone.
And the reason we haven't done anything to the oil spill is because BP wont get the hell out of the way, and let someone else who isn't worried about losing future profits fix this. They could cap this well and be done with it, but if they do they can't re-drill it, the pressure would cause a much larger blowout. This oil deposit in particular is the largest one ever found in the United States, and they don't want to lose access to the oil, so they are taking their time and destroying an entire regions eco-system, until they figure out how to cap this well, without losing the ability to rebuild and continue making money on it.
Essentially..F*uck the environment. F*uck the people, losing money is not an option.

"China is investing in clean energy and jobs" obama. China is buying every energy contract ,oil ,coal ,nat gas, plus all the copper and mineral resources that they can. This is an Obama LIE.
Small biz are making solar panels. LIE. There is no way in heck they can compete with the larger companies.
Energy, to move to clean energy , There will be costs. [how much]
1/3 of this address was to push cap and trade and carbon tax through. This was very smooth. You have just been set up.

I am even angrier because people like me have been submitting many great ideas to fix this mess and NOBODY WANTS TO LISTEN.. We just want to fix the problem!

Well... Who gets to decide on the tax?
Are they going to let us vote on it?

I bet all of the shennanigans of the last 20 years would have stopped real quick if Tar And Feathering was still in fashion.

You guys are working yourself into a frenzy and taking faux mews too seriously, although you grievances with the government are valid (I too believe that we are taxed to the extreme) your anger should be directed toward the American people as well particularly the rich and middle class.
Tell me how many garages and basements and backyard shave you seen cluttered with junk which at one point was purchased probably on credit, how many people would walk half mile for milk instead then drive (many of them can sure need exercise) how many would resist purchasing the latest electronic gadget or got to have a giant flat screen TV soon to be replaced by the newest 3D screen. American landfill can hardly keep up with the junk we buy and discard.

The way I see it is that corporate America has been dictating thanks to our corrupt politicians how we live, what we should see and hear what we should buy, who we should be supporting and who we should hate.
America is always at war to satisfy the defense industry, we always need oil to satisfy the energy industry, we buy useless insurance coverage to satisfy the insurance industry, we always need medical checkups to satisfy the medical industry, we always need drugs to satisfy the pharmaceutical industry, we always need indebting our self for years because we’ve been told that everybody need some generic if not useless college degree to satisfy the education system, ( I know countless of illiterate pizza man with more assets then a college graduate)we will always need cars because we can’t build communities which does not require to drive every time we need to get to a store or because there are no mass transport available,(see Europe) I can go on forever but I hope the point is clear already.

Our social structure is like a giant operating system much like Microsoft OP. you can go and do whatever you want but in order to do so you have to click where corporate America tell you to, you and I have no say so in the matter while you vote every 4 years has the same impact of a snowflake striking the ground.

Do you want some measure of control of your life? Stop feeding the monster, stop buying the superfluous and buy only the necessary, evaluate want VS need, buy only when you have the cash not on credit, if you have same spare money spend half of it and save the rest, the way I define freedom is a life free of debt free of outside influences, free from politician rhetoric, from media and most of all from Corporate America.

There are countries where kids walk miles to get to school and live with a fraction of what we spend for our living are we American too spoiled too weak to resist the lure of the superfluous, trendy?
Stop feeding the monster and the beast will die.

Sorry for the long post.

Not going to apologize not one bit for the luxury and prosperity America has gained through the blessings of liberty and ingenuity.
All this bullshit about how we should be ashamed of our prosperity.

Who’s attacking prosperity and who talking about communism? I’m talking about waste dude.

Some people display their stupidity and their lack of understanding of the written word as if they were virtues.

Nav4c, Just look around you. There is so little in your life that was not brought to you by corporate America. Everything from the roof shingles on your home to the shower handles in your bathroom. The stove ,your tv , computer, clothing, shoes, toothbrush and even your guitar.

ALL BROUGHT TO YOU THANX TO THESE CORPORATIONS THAT COMPETE TO BRING THESE THINGS TO YOU AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE.
If you think that is wrong please don't make me go live straw hut with no running water or electriciy or phone or computer. And don't let any of those corporate employees know you helped them out of a job.
That is just not what America is about. If you feel that guilty for living in America , start donating and helping the poor. Start giving to the local food pantry etc.

Even CHINA had to move to a free market system. You won't see them adding a carbon tax because that energy at low cost is needed to build a strong economy.
When obama points to europe and their high gasoline tax as neccessary,
he forgets to mention how weak these economies are.
We are not europe or china nor do I want to be. We are Americans and any one that wants to take that away can kiss my refrigerator.

Yes, I understand. And I want you to understand it's not focused at you personally.
But anytime our precious government start talking about "waste" the claim is that I should not have A/C in my home unless everyone in the world has A/C in their home too. (communism)
Or that I'm somehow a bad person if I eat two ham sandwiches instead of one.
Then we get into the old robin hood syndrome / wealth redistribution song and dance. ( again = communism )

It's not charity or benevolence if it's forced at gunpoint (or threat of imprisonment) as with taxes.

Robbing from the rich is not honorable its stealing.

Obama's statement about " rich white executives moving to the suburbs because they don't want to pay taxes to inner city children to go to school."

Is a good example of this mindset.

You are the one whom does not understand my young friend.
Nor will I stoop to your "virtuous" name calling.
It proves nothing.

By the way that wasn't FOX NEWS that was me making a observation ahead of time. And I was right as about a third of his speech was to soften the American people when he slips another fast one with CARBON TAX.

What did shock me is that for the first time He actually mentioned church and GOD to help us through the difficult times ahead.
What nonsense . He is going to try to ram down another presidential disaster on us with CARBON tax, and GOD is going to make it right.
Thats an angle he hasn't played before. Faux Mews is not the only station that is starting question some of bull, and I have seen a few on the liberal stations where people have said they wished they never voted for him.
