I can barely stand American football, let alone what the rest of the world calls football. But I do understand it's huge. Hope your team does well.

Wrong continent, wrong country, wrong place for such subject and sport
I however am huge fan having playing and following it most of my life, living 15 minutes away from Giant Stadium helps a lot to keep in touch with the sport I'm there every time the Red bulls play at home.

Now I better quit talking about this, I can feel BM reader’s wrath through the computer.

Easy there fellows, I didn't start this thread Chippy did, I'm only answering remember I play guitar in a band as well.

Dude I grew up playing football in the 60's. Both varieties. I am from south Texas. Even back then we had a South American influence on our sports.
My eldest daughter played soccer in high school.
It's a great sport ... as far as "games" go.
I really don't care anything about team sports anymore.

Never played it, can't stand watching it on TV, BORING, however it's very good live. I've been to a few Kansas City Wizzard soccer games when they played them at Arrowhead Stadium. It's a weird feeling going to an 80,000 seat stadium and watching an event with 77,000 empty seats. By the way when the Wizzards first started playing they were actually called the Wiz their first few seasons. They quickly changed their name to the Wizzards when the fans started chanting "Let's go Wiz, let's go Wiz..."
