I'd be interested in hearing the Bela Fleck stuff. The one of those YouTube videos I watched, well, it was a little too much like a clever trick than a musical thing.
That being said, there were several times he was managing one or two drone notes with a melody going on over it all. That was kind of cool. With the right application it would also be interesting to listen to for a while.

His particular talent is a great addition, as an effect, but it also can stand on its own. I see what you mean, though, by saying that you couldn't listen to a whole CD of it, Joseph.

wow, that was awesome... that guy has some incredible lungs... just listen how long he cranks out that sound.

That was quite good. I've heard a lot of native Asian vocal styles so it's no surprise. Very talented.
Got to have that hat too.

Yep. That's a little more like it. I think throat singing may be a limited art, but it's not less impressive for that.
