Was freakin hot where we played too Phil. At one point I leaned forward to romp on a little lead riff and could not stand back up for the stream of sweat pouring out of my hat.
At 49, you'd think I'd no better than get myself all sun burned too.
The other band has a tent.
And they though our padded surface was a good idea.

Glad your gig went well.

I might have to go back today to taste some wine...wait a minute...it's all local WV wine...so no, I think I'll pass. The stuff I tried in the past was pretty rank, as wine goes...

Glad your gig went well, sans. You wear a hat? Why didn't I think of that! What...do you play on a kung foo workout mat or sumpin?

Klugmo...I"ll keep my fingers crossed for ya on the 3rd...no...wait...I can't play like that...well good luck anyway!

We played last Thirsday under a tent that they had put up over a manure pile. Heat, flies and dust. Ain't Show Biz glamorous?

Fortunately, we have two of these fans:

Worth every penny! They really move some air.

Yeah a couple of those fans would be great too.
I'm taking notes here.

I wear a hat when we play out in the sun. A burned bald head SUCKS!!

I use citronella bucket candles in the METALSHOP to keep skeeters to a minimum when we practice. Even with the fans stirring the scent it does seem to help a lot.

We do set-up on mats:
They are the 1/4 black polypropylene ( I think ) 2'x2' puzzle mats I got from ACADEMY SPORTS.
They were on the walls and the sub flooring that I had in my 20'Lx20'Wx6'H cage. I had them in my gym when the band formed.

Having a lake behind you can really help if there is a light breeze.

We have got to get a snake and someone to run sound up front. Sound check took forever.
