mmmm, now I want sushi. I hear that instrument every time I go to my favorite Japanese restaurant. I've never seen one either. Thanks for posting.

They are cool, sorta like an Asian hammer dulcimer, without the hammers.
I thought it was a koto, but that's another instrument, & it's Japanese.
I love how they push on either side of the bridge to bend the notes.

I have a CD and DVD of THE TWELVE GIRLS BAND that was given to me by one of my lady friends that did cardiokickboxing in my class.
These girls can play.

I work at a Chinese educational center that offers, GhuZheng ( sp ) lessons. These instrumetns are beautiful to look at too. There is one in the Japanese Jazz band, Hiroshima.
