I need a band to start playing with in eastern PA lehigh valley/philly area. Everybody is either a redneck country star or metalhead.

Welcome to the forum. There are not many people into punk here, nor in smaller towns. If you lived in Philly or Pitts you would have better luck. Check out The Farleys for 70's style punk.

thanks man. yeah the lehigh valley is a graveyard for any kind of original music. Philly is my best bet.

I got arrested out there and now I avoid that general area like the plague.

Quakertown aka Kooky-Town is bad enough, but do not get too close to Lehigh Valley/Easton or you will really feel the difference..

haha. good thing Philly is an hour away. That might be my home away from home at least to start in music. My goal is to make it out to california. I'm not lookin to be a rockstar at all, just have fun playing music for music.

From what I've seen on Myspace, all I've heard about that area is about either punk and/or hardcore bands playing around there. And this comes from the locals themselves on the punk and hardcore forums. Seriously...other than a couple of country bands...all the rest should be right up your alley.

I'm at the other corner of the state, so I don't know for sure, but all they talk about is this band played there last night and the other band played over there. Although there isn't even one person that says that they like the Croc. Sounds like a complete crap hole from what I've read...

The croc is a sh*t hole..

And the management is unreal.

They have some nice performer digs/green room, but the main stage is SUCKOLA!
