There are no laws in this country anymore. We have moved to anarchy to allow the few in power to take control and enforce their views about how YOU should live your life.
Have any of you taken the time to read the 19 pages of the AZ law? Or are you just one of the protesters throwing bottles at AZ cops. I DID.
All this law did was restate the the FEDERAL LAWS that are already laws.
All this law did was reinforce the resolve to follow the federal laws .
All this law did was say it is against the law to break the law.
On a sad note two AZ troopers were gunned down and killed today.
John MORTON ,the head of Immigration Customs Enforcement came out out today and said they may refuse to process AZ illegals. In other words he may not enforce the very laws that he is charged to uphold, but he still collects a very nice pay check from your hard earned tax dollars . And your not angry.
How long would you keep your jobs if you didn't do what was required.
YOU SHOULD BE MAD AS HELL.!

Good point Nav, NO. Throwing bottles at law enforcement is wrong. I am just pointing out that everyone should spend 15 minutes and read the AZ law before they condemn it from "things they heard"
It is the same as those condemn the greedy corporations. People are being lead to believe how evil they are...B.S.
Everything you touch in your life has been made accesable because some corporation has been able to make it better and at a lower price..
I'm talking about your computer, your kitchen stove, bbq tank ,auto , fuel, roof shingles, baby crib, toothbrush, canned food, most food, guns and ammo, guitars and guitar strings and all musical equipment, your TV, your cell phone, Even the roads you drive on, without corporations like BUCY and DEERE and JOY global The Govt would not have the manpower to repair and build new roads without the great products these great corps put out at a price that makes them affordable.
Has everyone bought into this basket of crap?

A little perspective...Prior to 1492 there were NO Caucasians in North America. A few hundred years later the native peoples of North America were a tiny minority. According to James K Polk, President of the United States, it was "manifest destiny" that America would spread across the continent, America being predominantly of European descent. At one time Mexicans were the predominant inhabitants of what is now California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. Since Roe v. Wade there have been well over 50 million abortions in the United States. Is it any wonder that over 20 million illegal aliens have spread into AMerica, many of the illegal aliens have native Mexican Indian ancestry. What we are witnessing is the re-populating of America of native ancestral people who are replacing many millions of aborted human beings. Just a thought...

There are no native peoples to the North or South American continents.
All "immigrated" from Asia and Europe before the advent of countries or boarders.
The law exists to protect. If we are to ignore one law hell lets ignore all of them.
To the victors go the spoils
YEAH BABY !!!

Yeah baby, If the head of ICE doesn't want to enforce Immigration and Customs, Why should tim geithner and the IRS enforce the national tax code.
Now you all be good Americans and start running red lights, ignore parking tickets, refuse to pay sales tax, steal cheat and lie, hate GOD, and most of all tell your employers to stop taking taxes out of your pay!
After all it's just another silly LAW.

I'm about as close to the 'middle of the road' here as it gets.
I was against the law based on what I had heard... admittedly. I have now read the law, and don't see anything outright I would be against in it... however I am not a lawyer. One of my wifes friends is... and he is adamant that it is a bad law... so far no one has done a good job of explaining this law on either side.
BOTH SIDES ARE AT FAULT.
You tell me... what was there before, and what this law has introduced.
An aswer like "it just gives us the right to enforce fed law" is not specific enough.
I will say... in ICE's defense... I can't blame them. Considering all the upset people on either side of this law, the fact that enforcing it places you directly in opposition of the president himself. You would have to be a political idiot to do any thing but distance yourself.
Still, I am starting to be swayed considering that having read the law I see nothing that suggests a drivers license won't be adequate for determining legal status, and as long as you are only checking people because they are suspected of being involved in a serious crime I can go along with that.
The mex pres is also pushing me to support the law. I hate the idea that that idiot is suggesting they are more humane than america in any respect.
at the end of the day... this law does almost nothing to help close the border. the things it has accomplished is some 90mil in lost rev for the state of az over the next 6 years. It has accomplished a general disdain for this state by many whether it's well deserved or not. If only for these reasons... surely you can see how it is a political disaster at the least?

What helped Europeans the most in their quest to fulfill "manifest destiny" was introducing alcohol and spreading diseases to the native populations. What native Americans should have done from the get-go was drive the earliest European colonists back into the ocean. The real reason why existing laws are currently being ignored is entirely political. Politicians on both sides don't want to piss off the Hispanic vote, plain and simple. The illegal immigrants represent a rich source of voters and Washington politicians have blood on their hands, the blood of legal residents who are literally dying and figuratively dying an economic death, all in the name of securing more votes and keeping their (politicians) jobs. McCain for example used to be moderate on illegal immigration. Now that the Arizona law is in effect, McCain suddenly seems to be a hardliner. That's one of the reasons I didn't vote McCain for President. He's nothing but a damn politician, just as the vast majority of politicians are these days. If the politicians just enforced the current laws as they ALREADY exist we wouldn't be in the damn mess we're in these days. I say we GET RID OF THE DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS and elect an entirely new political party into the majority. Our two party system has been proven to be worthless and does nothing to benefit the average AMerican citizen. Most laws end up being watered down, compromises that don't accomplish a damn thing. It's time to sweep our government clean and start over with people WHO WILL STICK TO THE LAW AND CONSTITUTION. We need to get back to basics. Enough with the B.S....

You just said it all yourself. IF the president of our country refuses to uphold the laws of our nation, the very laws that he took an oath of office to uphold, he is on a very slippery slope.
Granted if in his wisdom he should move to change the law, then so be it.
However at this point in time it is the national law and by ignoring it or cicumventing it he is in violation of his oath of office to uphold the laws of our nation.
Kudos to you Mike for at least going to the trouble to read the law from AZ.
Way too many people are screaming about how bad the law is,such as congressman weiner from new york. These are people that haven't even read the law.
If you read it carefully the majority of the bill outlines specific penalties for violating labor laws [thus not paying into workers comp, etc]and the use and misuse of illegal immigrant labor. The bill also goes into great detail about what will be tolerated as legal in the enforcement of the law.It is very strict as to the rights of anyone wether legal or not ,from random and harrassing stops. The law is also very clear that it in no way supercedes the federal laws that are on the books.
Now stop wavering and tell your president to start upholding the law of the land.Tell him to stop apologising to every other country in the world about how evil America is. Tell him Americans have open arms for legal immigrants and this law is not about any of the things others want you to believe.
Tell your President that because he is NOT doing his job, not enforcing the law,American lives are being lost on American soil everyday because of illegal immigrants.
He was sworn in to protect America and when estimates are2000 plus are killed every year by illegals it seems he has violated his oath of office.
Grounds are starting develope for impeachment as he is on a very slippery slope, and the movements are starting gather some voice.
Mike if you like this president so much ,maybe you can help him out by letting him know the law is still the law and you don't like fellow Americans fellow Americans dieing because of lack of enforcement.
