You mentioned in another thread that Phish would be touring again.

I thought they were broken up & done, but I looked up a site to check it out.

"Phish on Fallon, 5/13
Phish will be the musical guest on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, May 13th, as part of the show's Exile in Main Street week. It will be the band's first network appearance since 6/21/04. (They have appeared on television since, inducting Genesis to the R&RHoF last month.)"

They've also made a movie of thier performances, I suppose.

" Phish 3D Extended
Based on fan and critical response thus far, Phish 3D has been added to the schedules of 5 theaters (one in IN, 2 in MO, and 2 in NY) and its stay has been extended at 67 others by a second week, both until Thursday May 13th. The 67 extensions include theaters in AL (2), CA (3), CO, CT (2), FL (2), GA (2), IA, IL, IN (3), KY, MA, ME, MI (2), MN (2), MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ (2), NV, NY (6), OH (2), OR, PA (3), RI, SC, TN, UT, VA (2), VT (2), WA, WI (2), CA, FL (2), KY, MA, MO, NC, NY, OR, PA, SC, and WI. Contact individual theaters for showtimes and ticketing info, though a current listing of confirmed showings is being maintained at http://www.phish3dmovie.com/theaters.

I liked that band a bunch, but I was always left wanting for some good lyrical content.

Yea I was at that Festival.. They came back last year 09.. with a 3 night run @ hampton and ended it with 4 nights in Miami.. with one of their trademark mega festivals in Indio California last year dubbed Festival 8.

April 20th(GO PHISH!) they released the Festival in 3D .. it was OK.. I thought Rolling Stones was better.. but Phish w/ Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings was AMAZING! If you haven't listened to them cover the Rolling Stones Exile on Mainstreet in its entirety I HIGHLY suggest it.

http://summer2010.phish.com/tourdates/

Summer Tour starts next month.

If you're going to Phish for lyrics its the wrong thing.. but thats not to say they don't have songs that rock the soul.. It's all about the music, the jam, and taking things places no ones ever seen before.. The reason I go see them is because I'm sure to hear every genre of music I love. Funk, Blues, Rock, Jazz, Bluegrass, Folk, Ambient Jams, etc, etc amazing sh*t.

For good phish lyrics try.. Lifeboy, Julius, Roggae, Strange Design

The thing to keep in mind about Phish lyrics is rarely are they used for their definition purpose.. More so for how they sound coming out of the mouth.. They do a lot of word play like in Alaska.. where Trey says, "In Alaska, I'll Ask her" They use it as extra instruments to fill empty spaces and are quite creative with it.. I wish more band harmonized the way they do.

And You're welcome.. Just tryin to share in the groove

Other good ones, lyrically, are "Fee," & "Theme From The Bottom," imho.

It's a shame thier live vocals are so lacking, though.

They have gotten A LOT better and by a lot I mean A LOT!.. Theme is one of my favorite tunes..

there is a ton of HD stuff on youtube from 2009.. check it out.. i watched an interview with page and trey and they both talked about taking voice lessons and a bunch of classical lessons during the hiatus..

Oh yea.. here is the classical stuff trey did with the new york philharmonic orchestra.. How about a little Yem http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sx4F8MSO-gI
