Hey John, been hearing about the flooding around there, Memphis and Nashville getting hammered if what I heard was correct. Wanted to call you but it'll be a few more days till I can put some more time on the phone (prepaid cell phones work that way...) so I finally decided to drop a post in here.

Anyway, just wanted to find out if you and your kids are ok, I never turn on a TV so I have no idea specifically where in your area most of the flooding is, here's hoping most of it missed you.

I see the weather report for today says clear, that's a good thing...I have a horrible connection today and most of the pages I see with info won't open, sit here for 5 minutes and still not loaded so I guess I'll have to wait to get some decent info.

Just hope you're ok...

Hey Bill, thanks yea Im fine and so are my kids.

I had some damage to my driveway cause it floods and washed out a bunch of rock, but thats about all.

I do have some friends in the Milington area that lost thier house. My GFs sister got hung up in Nashville over the weekend.

But yea Im in good shape. Ive been on the road more these days so I dont get on here near as much, but when I do get on I can see I havent missed much.

Hope things are going good your way my friend. I did ultimately turn down the Hard Rock gig and our singer did also. Its nothing to really talk about other than it wouldnt have been any fun for either of us. Not sure when Aint Yo Mama will resume gigging, we have something in August, we have turned down a bunch of typical bar gigs. I guess weve gotten a little greedy on the money side. I think we all got burnt out and just needed a break.

Keep Rockin

Hey John, glad you're ok, the news had me wondering. Couldn't get much that day, horrible connection, but what I did see didn't look good. News stories said Millington and Germantown it pretty bad, and I think Germantown is on the east side of town, if I remember correctly from my trip through there. So I wondered if you had any trouble out your way. The few pictures I saw looked like it got bad, water to the windows.

Ive been on the road more these days so I dont get on here near as much, but when I do get on I can see I havent missed much.

Nope, not much at all. Hard to find anything between the political rants.

Can't say I blame you for turning the gig down, if you're just not into it that's probably best. I would have jumped on it, I love gigs like that. Put me under pressure and I love it.

Gotta go to work soon, see ya later, glad everyone's ok.

Bill I love gigs like that also. But sometimes you just got to know when to fold em. My singer dropped out the next day. I would have been fine doin it by myself but with our singer and me together I was afraid that folks that know us would expect to see and AYM show and it just wasnt going to be like that.

I think I posted elsewhere that a friend who played guitar drowned in the floods in Lyndon Tn over th weekend. His name was Bob Qualls. Im going to put up a bigger post in case there are any people on here that knew him.
