Yeah, this is right up there with the pet rock, as far as I'm concerned. Make it cute & ppl will buy it.

Yeah, but this one costs a hell of alot more than a pet rock!

But... people will spend fortunes on their pets, or things having to do with their pets!

Some pets get treated better than the kids do!

LOL!

Twitter is free.

It's the device that turns the dogs barks and motions into tweets that will make you poor!

People twitter is free. I imagine that the twitter part is free for the pooch, but the device is what costs. Just like we have to pay for the cell to get the twitters. Also, I am not sure about this and imagine someone will correct me if wrong, you have to pay for the internet to get the tweets? I have unlimited internet on my phone so am not sure if there is a charge for each tweet.

I do not subscribe to twitter, I think it is pointless myself. Hubby has one and does follow some people. I have a hard enough time keeping up with FB and BM. My MySpace accounts have fallen by the wayside, I only check on them once in a while when I think of it. LOL

Ok, just looked it up!

$29.99

Not bad!

This is genius!

Sends the tweets (whenever the dog barks or moves a certain way) through Wi-Fi to the owners!

So the owners feel connected to the pet, even at work I guess, or wherever else they are!

Does it through Wi-Fi with your home computer.

So just have to leave the home PC on, and it is free, through your existing internet provider!

Well I don't have a pet (unless I can count my hubby  ) so it is a non-issue for me. :P

Ya know, I find that I'm just not interested enough in ppl to bother with MS or FB or Twitter. I have my own life to live, & can't see the appeal of living vicariously through others' lives when I have so much interesting stuff going on in my own life.

I mean, if you're going to the store, GO. Don't message me about it.

If you have a weird fungus growing on your foot, deal with it. Don't tell me about it.

I see nothing at all to gain from hearing about the drival in the lives of others. Does that make me self-absorbed or selfish? I think not. TMI is just that. There's only so much room in this headbone I have, & I refuse to fill it with the refuse of others.

FB is not terribly different than what you are doing here on BM. Please don't take this the wrong way, but.......you do post useless stuff here. You also keep us informed of what is going on in your life and your thoughts and feelings about things. Which is why we keep coming back here. To stay connected to people that we know and like. FB is just another medium to connect with people. One of the really cool things about FB, it brings people back into your life that you have lost touch with.

Example: Hubby found friends (they married shortly after college) that he went to college with. That was about 6 months ago and we have since gotten together with them about every other month. They live north of us and we take turns going to each others area. We have an absolute blast with them! If it weren't for FB that friendship would never have probably happened. Neither of us go to the reunions.

These forums and FB are social sites if you think about it.

True. Guilty as charged. I'll shut up now.
