Secret US memo urges war on Iran

A secret memo by US Defense Secretary Robert Gates urges Washington to consider the use of military force against Iran if diplomacy fails to scrap the country's nuclear program.

In what seems to be a new twist in US efforts to tackle Iran's enrichment activities, The New York Times reveals that a three-page memorandum, which has been circulating in Washington since January, has advocated military action against Tehran.

The classified memorandum, according to unnamed government officials quoted by the Times, warns that Washington lacks an effective policy in dealing with Iran's nuclear program and should therefore come up with new options.

One senior official has said that the memo accuses Iran of weapons development and lays out a set of military alternatives to counter Iran's progress in nuclear science and technology.

Some US officials, however, have played down the significance of the report, saying that the Obama administration has always "anticipated the full range of contingencies" against Iran.

"It is absolutely false that any memo touched off a reassessment of our options," AP quoted National Security Council spokesman Benjamin Rhodes as saying.

"This administration has been planning for all contingencies regarding Iran for many months," he added.

The memo has surfaced at a time when Washington is trying to garner support for a new set of sanctions on Iran over its refusal to give up uranium enrichment.

For years, Washington has accused Iran of having plans to build a secret nuclear weapons program "in the near future."

Iran has rejected the accusations, saying that its nuclear program is intended for energy production, not weapons development.

This is a perfict example of govt gone wild.
They are growing pot fields to test if it is ok to plant tomatoes.
This is the kind of govt that is controlled by the few to threaten the world.
This is the kind of govt our founding fathers fought against.
This is the kind of govt I would put all on the line to defend against.

As far as Iraq We won that war in a few days, TWICE. I dont know what the hell we are doing now.

As far as Iran , I am just damn blessed I don't live there.

As far as Afghanistan I don't know what we are doing there either.

Our military is not meant to be nation builders or peace keepers.
Foreign aide and support should also come from the rest of the world.

Our militay is the meanest ,nastiest ,dog on the block. We have to be very carefull when we turn the dog loose.

But mostly our dog is not meant to be a babysitter, That is wrong, don't keep our great men and women in the line of fire, when they don't have a clear target or authorization to fight.

As far as Iran,all they see is a dog that may bite, but then sit down ,wag its tail and thats when you can kill it.

We've had a history of these bad decisions - from the likes of Eisenhouer, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, & GWB, when it comes to this kind of thing. Stupidity knows no bounds, be you Dem or Rep.

Obama as president, is now privvy to the info that the military and intelligence community have. Iran is trying to make weapons... NUCLEAR weapons. The extremist regime there, ALREADY openly supports some terrorists, and lies about supprting others. But we have PHYSICAL EVIDENCE that they have supplied weapons to the insurgents fighting us in Iraq and Afghanistan.

We are ALREADY in a war with Iran, my friends!

Why?

Because if they will supply terrorists Russian weapons to kill us with, they will also have no problem supplying NUCLEAR WEAPONS to kill EVEN MORE of us with, and to wipe Israel off the map!

Countries like Iran, WANT to attack us with nuclear weapons, and they want to do it through TERRORIST CELLS, so they can claim none of it originated with them!

The people of Iran had better change their leadership, or there will soon be a few holes in the ground there.... very deep and wide holes!

But you can press the "QUOTE" button, and then look and get the URL's of the graphics for yourself. Or rick-click and download them yourself.

I don't know if they make you pay for them, or install their toolbar or some other trick, so I just get them from Google Images.

Go to Google and Images, and choose "Advanced Search" and then type the URL of the site you want images from, in the correct box, for getting only IMAGE RESULTS from that particular site!

You can avoid downloading malware that way!
HERE'S ANOTHER TRICK that maybe 90% of you don't know!

You know how you go to a site, and want to download an image, or copy text, and the "right click" is disabled, so you cannot access your "right click" menu? There are MANY ways to get around this, but... the quickest, is to do this...

RIGHT CLICK (but don't let off the button)

While holding down the right click...

PRESS "ENTER"

And "NOW" let off the "right click" button, and 9 times out of 10, the right click menu, will now come up for you!
