Hmm... that list can go LONG for me.

I love everything from...

Willie Neslon to N.W.A.
John Mayer to Slipknot

There are LOTS in genres that I don't like but I do like a little bit of eerything. If it catches my ear I'll listen to it regardless of it being "popular" or not.

Music is subjective... you either like it or you don't. It doesn't make it bad... it just means it doesn't appeal to you.

Actually, I haven't been listening to alot of music the past year!

Not like I used to.

But I've been through alot this past year, and I have been writing alot, and creating websites, working on alot of covers so I can play out again... even if it is solo for now.

But from awhile before last year to now, alot of different stuff...

Radiohead
Goo Goo Dolls
Tool
Nine Inch Nails
Wilco
Pat Matheney
Foo Fighters
Crossfade
All American Rejects
Yellowcard
Puddle of Mudd
Saliva
The Flaming Lips
Gnarls Barkley
Norah Jones
The White Stripes
Cake
The Chemical Brothers
Shinedown
Bjork
The Killers
Nelly Furtado
Jet
Breaking Benjamin
White Zombie
Death Cab for Cutie
Seether

Guess that's enough for now.

My recent favorites have nearly all been due to my searches in youtube, & that which you guys have exposed me to. Some of the ones I really liked, I've forgotten, unfortunately.

Enchantment (I think that's the name - CF? A lil help? I liked them!)

Tom Jones (yeah, I know)

Cat Stevens (I've been rediscovering a lot of his older stuff that I always loved)

Peter Gabriel

Gentle Gient (yeah, I found some I hadn't heard yet)

Klaatu

John Mayer (not very popular with my friends, but some of his stuff resonates with me)

lotsa world beat stuff

Iain Hamilton (I like his stuff)

Klugmo (like his, too)

Actually, most of the stuff I hear from ppl in here affects me pretty well, unless I say otherwise, & I'm always looking for new stuff, so I love it when ppl post new music. I have no idea what to seek out on my own, more often than not, cuz I won't listen to the radio around here cuz it SUX so badly!

I'm also rather ashamed to say that i've been watchiong that damn American Idol, & there are 2 or 3 ppl this year that strike me as sorta good, & if the show doesn't ruin them it'll be a miracle.

Craig, it surprizes me that we agree on Cake, btw. I've loved them from the get-go.

It's funny how guitar players hate them so much cuzza thier uber-cheesy axe tones!

I think they were one of the coolest acts to come out if the 90's, & I have 4 CD's. I dunno if that's all of them, & if there's more I want 'em!

Of course you love them... alot of their stuff is BASS driven! ;-)

Funky bass lines, and catchy hooks, I love 'em!

I turned my kids onto them too, and Comfort Eagle is one of their favorite songs of all time now! LOL - They can sing (speak - LOL) almost all the words by heart.

Sharp trebly guitar riffs are part of their sound.

Sounds good to me. Maybe they think guitar tones should always be warm and rich sounding? Who knows?

That sounds about right I think.

I think they have an album coming out this year too?
