Just so it's on record...

I've tried several times to upload some videos to the page here with no luck. I have them on the myspace page though, but this site won't let me upload them to here. I've contacted support...no response yet. And if I'm not mistaken...150MB limit for videos? WTF!?

Anyone that pays (as we all did) for this site should be able to at least upload complete songs on video. I had no problem before with another account uploading demo songs (just audio), but the video thing seems rather odd.

Myspace has a limit of 500MB per video and it's FREE!!! Something smells quite fishy here...and it's NOT Fisherman Bob. LOL!

I think you have to upload them to YouTube and then put the URL in the box provided.

Hey Craig! I'll have to send ya another request on myspace since I started a new page. My old one was /shreddinthroughtimelessness. The thing is though is that I have the videos wide open with URL links and Embed codes as well so they should work here. Same thing that Youtube does. Oh well...I guess everything has a quirk in it here or there, right?

I got youtube vids linked here to my bmix profile, I do see ppl have trouble with music/vids here ocasionally. Bix support will help you, they are just a few days behind is all...

Nah. It's Dave. I think that the old profile was called "Shreddin" or something. It's been a while since I've been here and 3 bands later...I'm back! I was shocked to see a ton of familiar names. You guys gave me a lot of useful information last time around, but unfortunately none of the three bands that I've been in since then had anything at all to do with Bandmix. Bass players are slim pickin around here, so we're hoping to get some results.

Kramer: Bmix support finally got back to me and said about having to upload to Youtube. There should be no difference whether it's Youtube or Myspace since both generate URL tags as well as Embed tags. We don't even play the 3 songs on the band page at myspace (www.myspace.com/desperateecho) anymore so it's pointless to put them here, but we do play the songs on the vids even though we've changed them around a bit. Looks like I'll have to do it another way, but it'll have to be tomorrow since practice starts in a couple hours...

Yep! It's even longer now! LOL! I've got some live pics on the page here from a national tour show that we played (Slave To The Metal). I'm gonna try the Youtube thing now that there's a little time this morning. I'd love to get "Into The Unknown" upped and on here...it's not even on the Myspace...

I forgot to ask because I'm not really sure...Is there a limit on the size of the video that can be upped here? The smallest one that I have is still about 260MB and the others range from 350MB to almost 500MB.

Since the videos are embedded (linked) via youtube, there's actually nothing stored physically on bmix, other than the embed info and the link - so no, your only limit is youtube file sizes.

Thanks Kramer. I took a chance and upped a vid that I didn't even put on Myspace and it worked! Whoo-hoo!
