Matthew 28:5-6
5) The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.
6) He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.

I watched a show on the History channel about the Shroud of Turin where they did a complex analysis of the face on the shroud and then created a three dimensional picture of the face based on it. It might be the most accurate portrayal of what Jesus actually looked like, that is if you believe the Shroud of Turin is in fact that of Jesus. What was the most interesing aspect of the Shroud is the science behind what created the image. There is no existing scientific explanation of that creation. The only credible explanation is the actual resurrection of Jesus created just enough radiation to imprint that image which is only one or two MICROFIBERS thick on the cloth. I believe the image on the Shroud IS Jesus and a lot of scientists agree with that...

It was interesting Bob, but I fear "relics" as religion distracting those whom might be saved.

Blessed be those whom have not seen, yet they believe.

You also have to consider, the Bible says that Jesus was beaten so badly beyond recognition, that he didn't even look like a man anymore. The majority of his skin and flesh was torn off. So I don't see how you would be able to recognize ANYTHING in Jesus' real burial cloth. Also, the shroud has so few blood stains... If he was beaten the way the Bible says, that shroud should be covered in blood from top to bottom.

But hey, who cares? If it's real, it's real. If it's fake, it's fake. It doesn't make a single difference. I already have my proof of what Jesus did for us.

There is blood stains on the Shroud at the exact spots on a body that was crucified. The image of the man on the Shroud was most certainly crucified. Whether it was actally Jesus or not is THE mystery. Because scientists have absolutely no idea how that image got there I tend to firmly believe the image itself is a miracle, and Jesus was of course the greatest miracle of them all....Either you believe the Shroud's image is actually from Jesus, which I do believe, or you don't. There are scientists who are NOT religious who believe it IS THE IMAGE OF JESUS. That's good enough for me...

On the shroud - the carbon-dating doesn't match up. There are some who theorize that it's the 1st photographic image, & that it was done by Da Vinci, since it was carbon-dated to have been created around his time, in the 15th century.

Of course, there's also a theory that it's the image of Jacques de Molay, the last of the Templar Knights' Grand Masters, as he had been tortured in similar ways to Christ. I think this one's a bit off, though, because, unless the shroud shows the feet to have been burned off, it simply could not have been his burial shroud.

It's amazing how this relic has been held up as "evidence" of Jesus so very often, though, in spite of the many flaws in that belief.
