Nice song Iain. Pleasant listen, upbeat melody, good guitar and vocals.
I don't know if it is just a personal preference fo mine or these cheap speakers, but it would sem the dynamics of the Bass and the Kick / Toms are lost in the mix.

Thanks for the music.

Maybe Mark was right?
The English are coming :D

You are a great artist, do you play live?

That is a lot of stuff going on.

Good sound, some great dynamics earlier in the tune, but after the first chorus song seemed to have peaked and just kept going at that level.

The solo/ guitar melody needs some higher tones to help it step out of the mix as well. The whole sound is awash with Mids at that point... the solo doesn't really stand out well, so, unless that was the desired effect... might just double it with a octave up guitar line.

All in all very sharp tune, very impressive work on playing, recording and mixing!

Now that is a sweet piece of art. Definitely your best work so far.

Good as gold mate.
Very dense sound - lots going on.
Cut 30 seconds out of it somewhere and you'll be on the radio in no time.

Thanks for all your input. Have sorted bass drum and toms, and adjusted overall headroom of the track, see what you think.
As for cutting out 30 seconds, if anyone can see how or where i can do that i would be amazed :) was 5 mins long!

Really hard for me to determine without a back to back listen but it feels more dynamic than before especially around 2:30 where the instrumental carries though. Nice. She runs right at 4:12 in length as I play her this morning.
Good song my man, well done.

A big production, for sure.

I love your voice, Iain. Great range & control.

Good dynamic ending, albeit rather abrupt.

Your guitar tones fit in this one batter than some of the rest. I might like a slower build-up, but that's my throw-back taste at work in the face of modern approaches, I'm sure. This is very commercially viable, as far as I can tell.

I agree with Dewy about the mids on the lead section. When the guitar doubles the strings, it could use some highs.

Man, you know how to work a drum machine, too!

If you get out there & meet some real musicians, you will make a fine producer out of yourself.

So, Iain, I hafta ask you, at this point, after hearing your stuff - why aren't you working with others? Are you that bad at it, or just not doing it?
