I dunno. I had that prob once, & discovered that hotmail automatically reduced Bitmap pics to Jpegs. I think it doesn't do that anymore, but it used to work for me.

:?: I'm not seeing how this is going to help me get them posted on my BandMix profile.
I have plenty of room for pictures as I renewed my premiere, but the individual photos are too "big" as many of the JPEGS are > 3 MP.

Then again if it cant be fixed with a hammer I might aught to leave well enough alone.

AH yes !
Printing them first then scanning them back into my computer file greatly reduces the MP. :D

Huh?
Is that what it takes? No sans you need to find somewhere that will host your images.

In order to post pictures here on the forum pages I was using Photobucket. Now for some reason ( perhaps it's Firefox ) I cannot get my images to upload to Photobucket.
I was successful however in posting the Avatar picture to my BandMix page by reducing the JPEG megapixel count.
All of my previous photos were taken with lower mp cameras so the JPEG mp count had not been an issue.
Many of the professional shots I have on CD are > 3 MP.
The BandMix upload feature cannot handle anything > 2.04MP

Photoscape

For all of your digital editing needs. Make .gifs, banners, collages, resizes photos, ect.

You can also try Picasa. It's free, and does some basic editing.

Forgive my ignorance on such matters.
I have several photo editing programs on my computer but really have no clue how to use them.

What you need is a big Brother :D
Seriously though you need to find a host for images. Look at what some folks have posted here Sans.

Photoscape is an editor, and I'm sure which ever ones you have on your computer are similar... just find their website and they will have a way to walk you thru resizing.

Trick is, smaller (in overall file size) pictures upload easier, distort less and look better "generally" on many machines. Some may see a "Bigger" picture easily, but not all.

So they limit photo size that you can post top keep everyone sort of generalized.

Any editor is going to give you the option to "reduce the quality" or size of the photo being edited... its just a matter of picking one editor and spending the time reading the tutorials.

OK so I was able to convert the picture that is now at avatar with PICTURE IT 9.
So I am learning, just damn slow.
Next I'll see if Photobucket will accept these images.
Being as I already have a hosting account there.

I just have to assume the larger JPEG images will print better full page photos.

Or am I making an ass of myself ... again ??
