Well THAT was a mistake! I'm a big Herb Alpert fan, and want to do a Tijuana Brass cover, so I picked up my trumpet for the first time in over 40 years, and tried to hit a high note...Sweet Jesus, somebody send for an ambulance!

 I know how you feel I felt the same way when I broke out the old fiddle I used to play. I wound up just giving to my daughter and she has played it all the way thru High School!

Coincidence?

My eldest son plays Violin. He's 15. their orchestra made Sweepstakes at UIL yesterday and he had his first paid gig last night.

My youngest son ( 14 ) also kicked butt at UIL with his Coronet.

My wife wants me to buy her another flute. She's not played it in 30 years or so.

J-HA I can really hear the 70s in your originals. I LIKE IT. Wish you were near VA. I know I could write with you.

Just proof that Mr. Alpert was a professional, top of his peer group in my opinion.

Yeah but if Herb Alpert hung up his trumpet for 30 years, then try to play it again, he would be no different from Dajax. Guys, no matter where you are in your music, you hafta practice.
