What a loser.

Baaaa baaaa... I hear sheep.

Gotta say, I loved Fox's response to Mr. Cool J....

"'Real American Stories' features uplifting tales about overcoming adversity and we believe Mr. Smith's interview fits that criteria. However, as it appears that Mr. Smith (L.L. Cool J.) does not want to be associated with a program that could serve as an inspiration to others, we are cutting his interview from the special and wish him the best with his fledgling acting career."

Yes, he's a loser for standing up for his rights. Fox intended to use his interview from a couple of years ago out of context. If they had asked him to do a new interview for the program he might have obliged. For someone who's always crying about your former bandmates using your music without your permission I thought you might get this Craig.

Yeah, as he wasn't even included in the program, I think this was a bit cheesy on Fox's part. If they had asked him to do the show, I'd have had a lot more respect for them, but just choosing to use an old interview is like using stock footage that's been overused, imo, & I can see why he felt used instead of included in the show.

This is more a problem with the show's producers than with Palin, though, I'll admit. I doubt she even has all that much input on a thing like this.

Using Palin for anything "positive & uplifting" would certainly be a change of pace for her. I might even watch it, just to see if she could pull it off without being condescending to someone or nasty to someone else...

No of course she had nothing to do with the production and who would be featured but she is closely tied to Fox, the worst network on TV. I hope they keep her nice and busy.

Exactly.

If anyone should have been sympathetic to this particular case, it should have been Craig.

Now CNN is saying Toby Keith also is getting used without permission.

I like one of the comments on the CNN thread: "Why do we keep calling it Fox NEWS?"

LOL

Is it possible that the Faux Network is seeing what so many others see - that Palin is an obstacle to Rep success? So the producers of the show will keep doing this sorta thing to sully her name? Seems feasible to me...

I'll keep watching this soap opera, for sure!

They'll be able to appear to be backing her all the while, as her name gets dragged through the manure with every lil twist & turn.

It's brillianter strategy than hers ever was, anyway!

But it's "NOT" out of context.

That's the point.

Obviously it is not only... "IN CONTEXT" but also... "APPLICABLE" to the premise of this new show, which is about inspirational stories, like overcoming adversity to succeed, against all odds.

If they filmed Palin "ASKING" questions, and spliced it with his answers, then "THAT" would be dishonest. But not using clips of someone's previous interviews. News programs do this all the time, and so do shows like "Cold Case Files" or any kind of documentary. Movies do it all the time too. How often do you see REAL news clips in movies? Where someone was filmed for a news program or something else. The company with the rights to that footage will sometimes then license it to a movie, where they show that clip on someone's TV set (in the movie), as if that actor is watching the news live. That would be a case of using REAL FOOTAGE, for a FICTICIOUS MOVIE!

Yet you guys wouldn't have any problem with that, now would you?

Talk about "out of context"!

You see?

You guys aren't as logical or consistent, as you believe yourselves to be.

Which is EXACTLY why I posted the other article from the Jewish Blog.

Irrational hatred and SHEEPISHNESS... joining the "mob" or even better... joining the witch hunters in old Salem, Mass... it's never about logic or what is TRUE, but instead, it's all about allowing irrational emotions to outweigh FACTS and LOGIC.

Craig,

You're letting your obvious boner for Palin get in the way of rational thought.

Sad...

Jimmy, you are a genius, and my ultimate crime fighting hero!

They... "Got Toby Keith too", did they?

Almost like some violent random house invasion, right?

You should notify all the news outlets immediately about this unusual media tactic... reworking old footage into new pieces!!??

It's disgusting... and apparently CHRONIC!!!

I don't know how this one got by you, but....

Pssst....

I discovered that EVERY SINGLE EPISODE of "The E! True Hollywood Story" does EXACTLY THE SAME THING!!!

But I'll let YOU take the credit, when you spill the beans on the "E! Entertainment Television" network, to the major media, for doing the same thing as Fox, and wow.... DOING IT MUCH MORE OFTEN!!!

Nothing gets by the superior logic of liberals does it?

If I had only known that Palin-Hating made people THIS SMART... hoo-boy!!! I'd have hated her a long time ago!

;-)

It's patently obvious, where the irrationality is dude!

Hint: It's with the liberals... who can't keep a logical consistent line of thought going for two straight sentences, where Palin is concerned!

;-)

Gee, Craig, I guess my opinion of the Fox Network really bugs you for some reason. Doesn't make a diff to me or change my opinion in any way, though.

The point is, it's cheesy for them to use ppl as if they're supporting someone these interviewees don't want to be associated with to promote that someone. It isn't about the show or its content at all, Craig. They don't want to support this particular celebrity, & I can certainly understand that.

It would be just as cheesy if they put these interviews on a Jerry Springer Show. They don't wanna be included. I realize that Springer isn't on the Fox channels, but Maury Povitch was for awhile, & I wouldn't wanna be on that show, either.

No sheep. Ppl standing up for themselves & what they believe to be right.

Why is it that anyone & everyone who doesn't like Palin is a sheep to you? Do you really think she's all that perfect? I think you're way wrong, but I suppose that just makes me a sheep, too, right?

Of course, the same argument could be used against all of you Palin-lovin'-clones, don't you think? You swoon every time she opens her foul mouth, don't ya? You think the ground she walks on is holy. Who's the real sheep? (Hint - I don't think it's US!)

You seem to think that ppl who dislike Palin don't have any original thoughts, or couldn't possibly come up with any reasons not to like her on thier own, while you sound like a brainwashed cult member, as you continue to laud her questionable attributes to one & all. I don't like the witch (to go with your Salem analogy) cuz she has had so very little to offer anyone, other than the name calling & BS disruptions that the far right has been so good at, lately. (Kinda like you in these very forums.)She exemplifies everything that's wrong in the right, to me. I'm sorry of that doesn't look "original" enough for you, but hearing you drone on about her & attack anyone who has a different view has gotten quite borish.

It's okay that you love her. It's ALSO okay for me to dislike her. Get over it. Grow up. Drop the name-calling. If you can't have a grown-up discussion, perhaps you should put a leash on yourself.

Wrong Phil!

I have no problem with people not liking Palin's positions, or feeling that she does not have enough foreign policy knowledge to be President of the United States. etc...

Those are LEGITIMATE and RATIONAL disagreements or concerns.

But to paint her as a moron, stupid, or incompetent?

No sir.

That is NOT backed up by the facts of her life, or her 14 YEAR political career.

It is JUST AS WRONG, as when people claim that President Obama "WANTS" to destroy the country! I jump on those comments too! If you want to say that his policies will END UP destrying the country.... fine. But he "WANTS" to destroy the country? What a ridiculous statement!

What I don't like Phil, and what is probably one of the most dangerous challenges facing the world itself, is... get ready for it... BULLSH*T!!!!

Life is SO FULL OF PEOPLE'S PARROTED AND REPEATED BULLSH*T that it is a wonder, we have ANY sense of smell left at all.

People live lives filled with... LIES... Phil.

The VAST MAJORITY of people live this way.

They substitute repeated coined phrases for ACTUAL THOUGHTS.

They talk in RHETORIC, rather than substantive CONVERSATIONS, where they actually SEARCH THEIR OWN SOULS in order to share their true feelings on matters.

People are so busy MAKING UP BULLSH*T and REPEATING BULLSH*T, and then having other dumbasses, RESPONDING TO THE FIRST BULLSH*T... that it is like a mirrored FUN HOUSE!

It's like a BAD THEATER PLAY.

Where everyone is merely PLAYING A PART... spouting LINES they think are scripted for them, and inevitable, for them to speak out loud... like they have no choice.

"It's my role... I MUST respond this way!"

Such a WASTE OF FRIGGIN' TIME!!!!

No wonder the world is SO F*CKED UP!!!

No wonder people are SO F*CKED UP!!!!

We waste SO MUCH of our lives on MADE-UP... BULLSH*T!!!!

And we pretend it is real, and act accordingly, which ends up making it real to some extent, and it becomes nothing but an IMPEDIMENT to rational discussions, to UNDERSTANDING other perspectives, to finding SOLUTIONS to problems that affect ALL HUMANS!

People make their lives into VIDEO GAMES!

Something to be PLAYED... something for the ENTERTAINMENT of others.

THAT is what is sad!

Not, my calling out, the IRRATIONAL bashing of a remarkable mother and politician, who capably handled a career in politics, all the way to the Governorship of her state, where... until she ran against Obama, she was the MOST POPULAR GOVERNOR in America!

Why would running against Obama change Alaskan's opinions of her?

They wanted Obama... they know Palin's capabilities more than ANY OF US! It scared them. They KNEW if anyone could rob a Democrat of being elected President, post Bush, it would be HER!

She didn't change how she ran Alaska.
She didn't change her political party.
She didn't change her political beliefs.

She ran against the Democract. That's it.

And suddenly her rating dips dramatically in Alaska.

See?

BULLSH*T!!!

NO CONSISTENCY!!!

SHEEP-LOGIC!
