What is a proton made of? In fact, what are all of the sub-atomic particles made of? The Higgs boson.

I found this very interesting. I thought we (America) were going to beat the European deal or so it was told? Anyway should be interesting as the core heats up

Why is anything here?
In theory the Higgs boson is made of itself; this is what I meant by there is nothing more fundamental. But this is why some people have dubbed it "the God particle", it is the stuff from which all else is derived.

since they keep finding that the ingredient's of a particle consists of mostly empty space between other particles... and those particle, the same, it seems that everything is made of mostly "nothing" and quantum theory says that our perception of an object decides it's form..... so how far down the rabbit hole do you wanna go?
one of the most fascinating subjects there is for me!
