I've been against our continuing aid to & backing of Israel since the 70's.

I remain so. There are good reasons for my stance, & actions like this one are certainly good arguing points.

If you're gonna do this stuff, you better be better at it than this. Mossad never works for any common good, & seems to be far more interested in the "eye for an eye" vengeful acts than anything else.

Meanwhile, Israeli gov't treatment of its citizenry of faiths other than the j/c's is certainly questionable, & has been since the country's inception.

Interestingly, we would turn a blind eye to thier actions even as we villify China & Russia & others for thier human rights violations. It often seems as if Israel can do no wrong in our eyes, while the facts speak otherwise.

Refusing to back a COUNTRY that plays spy games poorly in no way makes me "anti-semitic," Glen. That's a very popular but baseless argument against anyone who says Israel is not a good country that deserves our constant attention & iontervention.

The Palestinians have as much right to be PO'd as anyone on the planet. Thier country was ripped from under them & given to a ppl who treated them badly, took thier homes & stripped them of thier jobs. They were forcibly moved into ghettos. They could not hold gov't positions.

Meanwhile, the rest of the area turned thier backs on them. Thier own religous brethren wouldn't allow them to immigrate to escape thier plight.

Israel has been at the core of mid-eastern strife, & it has done nothing but exacerbate the problems, always with the US & the UK being right there helping them.

And it's something that can and should end if the country engages in activities that go against our beliefs. And we should first make sure our own citizens don't need the aid more.

I believe our nation should have the best standard on this, but it would probably kill us all, if we did. We would have been destroyed long ago, or at least many more of us dead, were it not for intelligence programs.
