I recall my Father having some type of acoustic guitar, a harmonica and a cheap organ (the kind that comes with the play by numbers music book). I remember my parents and their friends requesting that I play the organ. " Witchcraft " was the song they most oftened asked for. Personally, my first instrument was a Mickey Mouse drum set, from the Sears catolog. No bull, it really had Mickey Mouse on the bass head. My first guitar was also from Sears, an acoustic. Once I became serious, I had a Sunburst Kingston Les Paul copy (because Ace Frehley had one), which a older friend installed a black powersound pickup in. Then a Kramer "Stryker" strat style and a Martin acoustic.

Later, after I learned a little, my first rig was a; black B.C. Rich strat, a 120 watt Peavey combo, a Rat distortion box, Digitek EQ, Boss compressor and a CryBaby Wah.

Charvel II - same guitar I play today. In the market for something else, but I just blew the blank with a Firestudio Mobile purchase and a new guitar cable... and my piggy bank ran away when he heard I was comin.

1st acoustic - a '64 Vox 12-string (man I wish I still had this)

1st electric - Aria (Srat sunburst copy)

There was another electric before the Aria, I think. It was a sort of stretched pentagram candy apple red "Cyclone" I think. Virtually unplayable, though.

Well I played clarinet when younger but my first guitar was a Teisco sunburst. The thing had four pickups and cost $69.99 at Topps department store (1971?). My first real guitar was a blonde '72 Strat. My first acoustic was a `74 Epiphone. All were sold when times got tight. Never sell your instrument!

I had a few different guitars and such.

When your a kid your parents that didnt knwo anything about instruments would give you these horrible playing pieces of wood and then wonder why you cant figure out Mary Had A Little Lamb. I was very naive, when I was around 14 I helped a guy paint his house and when we cleaned a closet out there was this red strat looking knockoff guitar. I took a liking to this guitar and when we got done the guy gave it to me. I sat it on the floor and the guys son came around the corner and jumped on the pickguard crushing it and the pickups. I took is home and a good friend said lets just put a pickguard on it and some hot pickups. So I got this brass plated pickguard and some dimarzio super distortion pups. Cause that was what kiss used. I played this guitar up thru college, and i still have it in a case at home somewhere. I dont have any pictures in my bucket of it. I need to get it out and post some here. Every now and then I get this guitar out tune it up and try to play it. You see after all those crappy guitars of my youth this guitar at the time felt like butter to me. I can hardly play it now. Too Funny

My first instrument was a recorder (don't know the brand or type). I had to get one when I was in elementary school for a school musical I was in. It was a nice wooden one that my parents bought for me.

First guitar: a candy apple red Ibanez RG. One of the cheaper models.

Two months later I upgraded to an Ibanez RG 565 in black. Still have it.
