We changed the order of his meds and switched his seizure medication. Also I started him on a powdered fruit drink (contains over thirty different fruits and some vegetables) once a day. It's been almost a miraculous transformation. He has calmed down considerably. Still ansy at times but no violent head butting episodes. Don't know how long it will last but I've got my fingers crossed. The new seizure med is carbomazapine (spelling?). It seems to be calming him down considerably and less digestive problems.

I hope it lasts, bob. I always worry when it comes to the head drugs.

That sounds like good news. I'm hoping it will make your life easier. Anything that works that doesn't come from a chemistry lab is good. I just don't trust drugs either.

The problem with all these new drugs is I don't think they can possibly test them to the point they are fool-proof. How does the new drug interact with all the different drugs that are out there? How does the new drug interact with the almost infinite number of foods out there? You hear about a new wonder drug and then a few years later some people start having serious side effects and they take the drug off the market. People are basically guinea pigs, that's all. God never intended for synthetic compounds to be put into our bodies.

I just want to know... how is it that you dont hate the world?

Not much I can do about it at this point. My son's meds would cost us nearly a thousand dollars per month, let alone what the government is paying for his daycare facility. I don't hate the world but I'm mad as hell at certain health institutions. I believe STRONGLY that his autism was caused by vaccines. He was developing perfectly normally until he took a series of vaccinations. The country of China had almost no autism until they started mass vaccinations in the early 1990's, now they have well over a million autistic people there. The pharmaceutical companies would like nothing more than to have EVERY human being utterly dependent on meds to even survive. No I don't hate the world, just certain institutions who have us by the balls...

Oh, I looked up tegretol, it is carbomazapime. Yeah, I was warned about the side effects. The most severe side effects are very rare. So far, so good. He's reacting very well to this drug, much better than levetiracetam (spelling?) which made him irritable as hell (thus the head butting). He's taking a low dose of tegretol. Got my fingers crossed it works in the long run, he's been VERY well behaved at his daycare place. Got our fingers crossed.

My guess would be the MMR vaccine. My best friend had two out of 5 kids that are autistic. She swears they were progressing normally till the vaccination. The medical community are swearing that the vaccine had nothing to do with the autism. Funny how there are soooo many parents that are saying the same thing (the MMR caused the autism). Of course the medical community and the pharm. community would deny this. That would open them up to MEGA lawsuits. I don't understand why they can't just say: We will change the vaccine and if the cases of autism drop then it's a good thing.

My take is that these children cannot tolerate THREE vaccines at one time! Makes me glad that I didn't get my kids vaccinated till they were older and their immune systems were more developed to handle that intrusion.
