Sounded like BROWN EYED GIRL until you started to sing.

Very well done KLUGMO. My not being a country fan would be an understatement. Mostly because the genre' has become so cliche' with a phony twang of voice and instrumentation.
This tune held true to the C&W root without having an overblown twang to voice and the guitar had the classic country sound again, without that damned whine that I detest so.
BRAVO.

Great song, great sound. Is this song on the Radio?

I tried to keep this song very comercial sounding and in a simple structure. The stop in the middle I think will make it stand out in a crowd of similar music. This is of course a demo and a deeper voice I think will sound more at home.

LOL

I,m now a fan of yours my man. You may have been trying for "commercialism" but you way exceeded any of the garbage I skip over on the radio on a daily basis.

Excuse the expression ... but ... YOU ROCK ! 8)

Imho, "Turn Around," "My Purple Truck Rules," "The Only Lady...," & possibly "Sidewinder" are stronger songs, commercially. There's something I'm missing in this melody, or that isn't really connecting as well as do those others, but perhaps it's just me. Very well written, played & produced, as usual, Klugmo, but this hits my ear as more of a B-side.

As usual phil, your blatantly honest opinion thrills me. I value your responces more than any others because you usualy cut to the quick and don't blow any smoke. Thats what I like about you. I've been expecting Craig to analize the song "Judgement Day" but he hasn't yet. I'm sure some part of the lyrics are off center somehow. I'm glad you liked the other songs but " Turn Around " was not written by me. I was paid to sing it by a writer in Calif. who was entering a contest. All other songs I sing and wrote. The arrangements were done by my guitar player and I.

Craig <---- looks to his right and then his left, and then behind him, and motions by pointing at himself.... "Who me?"

LOL

Uhh.... sorry brother.

Didn't know you were expecting a critique from me...

I'll go check it out.

What in that song, are you wanting me to pay attention to?

Craig, I wasn't really expecting you to critique it but thought you would spot it as a Religious song and comment on it. I would appreciate anything you said about my music. Maybe your wife would comment on the new song.

Checked it out.

Nice song. Almost a Southern Rock feel as it gets into it. Well, maybe they call it "new country" these days? LOL

Strong chorus.

Motivating and enticing.

Personally, the transitions are "slightly" too abrupt. I think I know what you were going for, and it basically works, but it's just (for me) a little too rollercoasterish, maybe as if, the little interlude should go a measure longer, before hitting the chorus.

But who knows?

It keeps it interesting, and rapidly so. You don't get any chance to be distracted or lulled into familiarity where some people start to tune out, and that's a good thing, right?

I especially liked it, as it gears up to the ending. Good rockin' guitar break, and strong vocals and music, getting you to the climax.

I'll have my wife listen to it tonight sometime, cause she's the country expert in the family! ;-)

But I liked it.

You are a good songwriter, and vocalist too.

Keep churning them out brother!

Ok, wifee has weighed in :) ...

She likes the writing on BOTH songs... Judgement Day and The Heart of Angeline.

She says "Angeline" is too high for you, and thinks it would sound better if you lowered it a step.

And she liked the transitions in Judgement Day. She doesn't think they are too fast, because it is, after all, a fast paced song.

So there ya go brother! :-)
